SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of France’s third-place play-off clash with England at the World Cup on Saturday night.

France vs England, Saturday (22:00)

France and England will contest what is now known as the bronze play-off at the World Cup when they meet at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Saturday night.

Both teams head into this fixture on the back of crushing semi-final defeats earlier this week, with France suffering a 2-0 loss to Spain before England capitulated late on in a 2-1 defeat against Argentina.

Having already covered this clash in a separate match preview, I will now turn my attention to the bet builder market.

Michael Olise To Be Fouled 2+ Times

For the first leg of what will be a player-based bet builder double, I am backing Michael Olise to be fouled at least twice.

Aside from Kylian Mbappe, Olise has been France’s standout performer at the 2026 World Cup, registering five assists across his seven appearances to date. He is a player who attracts plenty of attention from the opposition, which naturally leads to him winning a regular supply of free kicks. Indeed, Olise has been France’s most fouled player at the tournament by some distance, having been brought down 16 times across his seven outings so far.

A closer look at the numbers shows that the Bayern Munich man has been fouled two or more times in five of those seven appearances, including each of his last three.

With Olise likely to operate in similar areas of the pitch to Elliot Anderson and Jude Bellingham, there is every chance that trend continues. The aforementioned pair have each committed nine fouls at this World Cup, which is the joint-highest total among England players.

Desire Doue 1+ Shot

The second instalment of the bet builder is Desire Doue to attempt a minimum of one shot.

The French forward is a player who is more than willing to pull the trigger whenever the opportunity presents itself, and the numbers certainly back that up. Indeed, Doue has averaged 3.32 shots per game across his seven World Cup appearances to date, registering multiple efforts in four of those matches, including each of the three in which he has been named in the starting XI.

Doue was also a consistent source of shots at club level last season with PSG, averaging 3.65 efforts per 90 in Ligue 1. He should be afforded plenty of opportunities to get attempts away against an England side that has looked defensively vulnerable throughout the tournament and could struggle to lift themselves after the heartbreak of their semi-final defeat to Argentina.

Combined, these two selections bring about a 4/5 Bet Builder that offers plenty of value.
