SlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of the Premier League's Friday night fixture between Everton and Tottenham.
Everton vs Tottenham (Friday, 20:00)
Two Premier League teams who are out of form at present go toe-to-toe at Goodison Park on Friday night as Everton entertain Tottenham.
Everton have blown and cold this season and Carlo Ancelotti's crew head into this contest aiming to halt a five-game winless run across all competitions following a drab 0-0 draw at Brighton on Monday night.
Tottenham have also struggled for any degree of consistency this term, with Jose Mourinho's side suffering a fresh setback in their limp 3-1 defeat against Manchester United last Sunday.
Given that consistency hasn't been something associated with either of these respective sides this season I'm going to steer clear of the match result market here and instead head to Bet 365‘s Bet Builder.
If we combine over zero Tottenham goals and each team to receive a card we will be presented with a nice looking 4/5 (Bet 365) play.
Indeed, Spurs have endured a turbulent season, but they do remain only six points off a top-four position and a win here would propel the Londoners up to sixth-place in the standings, at least temporarily.
Mourinho's men have made the net bulge in each of their last eight Premier League matches, while Everton have failed to keep a clean sheet in 13 of their 15 home league matches this season.
In fact, Goodison Park setbacks have been a recurring theme of Everton's season – the Toffees have been toppled in seven of their 15 Premier League matches on home turf this term.
With that in mind, coupled with the attacking threat that the visitors carry, I'm happy to side with at least one Spurs strike on Friday night.
In order to boost up the price, I'll also back each team to see at least one card in what should be a closely-fought and competitive contest.
Everton have received at least booking in each of their last 19 Premier League matches, while Tottenham have seen at least one card in 12 of their last 13 top-flight tussles.
What's more, referee Michael Oliver will take charge of this tussle and the Ashington-born whistlers 3.17 card-per game average is fairly high by Premier League standards.
It's also worth noting the above-mentioned Bet Builder has banked in each of Tottenham's last six Premier League matches and that adds to the appeal of supporting the same formula on Friday night.
