SlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of East Kilbride's Scottish League Cup clash with Clyde on Tuesday night.
East Kilbride vs Clyde (Tuesday, 19:45)
Lowland League title favourites East Kilbride welcome Clyde to K-Park in the Premier Sports Cup on Tuesday night.
Stevie Aitken's men were awarded a 3-0 win over Kilmarnock after the Rugby Park side fielded an ineligible player in their Group G curtain-raiser.
The ambitious Lowland League outfit have since battled to a 0-0 draw with Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton and last time out they fell to a spirited 1-0 loss at Stranraer.
Clyde, on the other hand, squeezed out a 1-0 win against the Blues before crashing to a 2-1 defeat against Kilmarnock on Saturday.
As such, both of these teams will have earmarked this fixture as one where three points are crucial if they are to qualify from the group.
Danny Lennon's League One side are worthy favourites on Tuesday night but I suspect East Kilbride could keep this cup tie competitive.
I'll therefore head to William Hill's build Your Odds feature and combine over zero East Kilbride goals and East Kilbride with a + 2 start on the handicap, a nice looking 17/20 (William Hill) play.
EK have signalled their intent during recent transfer windows by capturing a number of players with SPFL experience and they could have the tools to trouble a Clyde team who struggled on their travels last term.
The Bully Wee slumped to defeat in seven of their 11 Scottish League One road trips last season, registering a solitary clean sheet in the process.
In fact, Clyde have triumphed in just three of their last 19 league games away from their Broadwood base, shipping two or more goals in 12 of those matches.
With all that in mind, coupled with the fact that Lennon's charges were the leakiest team in League One last season, I'm more than happy to back East Kilbride to make the net bulge at least once when Clyde come calling.
It's also worth noting that the above-mentioned Bet Builder banked in 10 of Clyde's 11 League One away matches last season and that only adds to the appeal of supporting the same formula at K -Park on Tuesday night.
