After delivering a BTTS winner on Thursday, SlipsTips is back with a Booking Points double involving two of Friday nights fixtures.
Bournemouth vs West Brom (Friday, 19:45)
West Brom begin life back in the English Championship with a tricky-looking Friday night trip to Bournemouth.
Valerien Ismael has been tasked with the job of leading the Baggies back to the big time, while Bournemouth have appointed former Fulham boss Scott Parker.
Both of these teams are expected to be in the promotion race this term, with each respective side housed in the top-four of the latest outright betting for the title.
As such, this is a difficult curtain-raiser to call so I'm going to steer clear of the match result market and instead throw over two match cards into the first half of a double.
The turnstiles will be open for this tussle and I suspect both of these promotion-hopefuls will want to lay down an early marker under the south coast lights on Friday night.
That could lead to a closely-fought battle between two well matched sides, not to mention we also have a decent referee here in Darren Bond who was averaging over three cards per game in the second tier last season.
Monaco vs Nantes (Friday, 20:00)
The Ligue 1 season gets underway on Friday night, as Monaco kick-off their campaign at home to Nantes.
Niko Kovac's crew finished third last time out and they will be looking to push harder in their pursuit for a first French crown in five years.
Nantes, on the other hand, narrowly avoided tumbling out of the top-flight last term as they triumphed over Toulouse in the relegation play-off.
Unsurprisingly, Monaco are massive favourites to hit the ground running here, but I'm going to complete the double by throwing over one Nantes card into the mix.
The principality club were drawing a league-high 2.34 cards per game from their opponents last term, while Nantes were conceding the third-highest amount of fouls per 90 minutes in France last season.
With all that in mind, coupled with the fact that the Red and Whites will be roared on by a home crowd for the first time in 18 months, I'll complete the 6/5 (Bet 365) double with at least two Nantes bookings.
Recommended Bet
- Bournemouth vs West Brom Over 2 Match Cards
- Over 1 Nantes Card
- Double (6/5 Bet 365)
