Kilmarnock vs Celtic (Sunday 16:30)
CELTIC will be aiming to climb back to the summit of the Scottish Premiership when they come up against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Hoops hit the ground running last weekend when hammering Hamilton 5-1 while Kilmarnock fell to a 2-1 defeat in the capital at the hands of Hibernian.
I landed two winners from two in my Celtic vs Hamilton match preview last weekend and I'm going to revisit one of those angles in Ayrshire on Sunday.
The combination of Celtic to score two or more goals and Kilmarnock to receive 20+ booking points looks like a nicely priced odds-against shot at 11/10 in Sky Bet's Request A Bet market.
The Bhoys have made the net bulge at least three times in nine of their last 11 Scottish Premiership assignments and it's worth noting that each of their last 14 league fixtures have produced over 2.5 goals.
Such free-scoring form does not bode well for a Killie side who have seen nine of their last 10 top-flight tussles feature three or more strikes and last Saturday's setback now means that the hosts have lost nine of their 13 outings under the stewardship of Alex Dyer.
The Rugby Park outfit may have to revert to the dark arts when trying to shackle their superior opponents on Sunday and with that in mind I'm happy to back Killie to collect 20 or more booking points when trying to keep the Bhoys at bay.
However, Celtic will more than likely breakthrough eventually – their superior quality is too good not to – and the above-mentioned betting angle looks like a nice way of trying to squeeze some value out of what is expected to be a Celtic victory.
