Rangers will run out at Ibrox for the last time this season when they play host to Dundee United on Wednesday night.
The Light Blues have continued to impress in the Europa League this season, however they have endured another nightmare campaign on the domestic front.
As for Dundee United, they have made their transition from the Scottish Championship back to the Scottish Premiership look seamless, having impressively finished in the top-six.
Rangers Win
After picking up their first home win in over three months on Sunday, Rangers look well placed to secure another Ibrox success when Dundee United come to town. The manner of Sunday's victory will have given the Light Blues a much-needed confidence boost and interim boss Barry Ferguson will be expecting his side to produce a similar level of performance on Wednesday night.
While Jim Goodwin’s side have exceeded expectations this season, they have lost each of their three matches since the Scottish Premiership split. The Terrors were soundly beaten by both Celtic and Hibernian before slumping to a 2-0 loss at home to sixth-placed St Mirren on Saturday.
Rangers Most Corners
As well as winning the match, look for Rangers to also come out on top in the corner count. Only Celtic (8.69) have averaged more corners per 90 than Rangers (6.53) in this season’s Scottish Premiership. The Light Blues won the corner battle 7-2 when hosting Aberdeen last time out and something similar has to be fancied when they face Dundee United.
The Tannadice outfit have not been prolific when it comes to earning corners this season, evidenced by their lowly average of 4.19 per game. It’s also worth noting that United hit just one corner to Rangers’ nine when they visited Ibrox earlier this season. On top of that, Goodwin’s guests have failed to hit more corners than their opponents in each of their previous three Scottish Premiership assignments.
Nicolas Raskin 1+ Shot
I’ll wrap up the Bet Builder by backing Nicolas Raskin to attempt at least one shot on goal on Wednesday night. The all-action Rangers midfielder is averaging 1.32 shots per game in the Scottish Premiership this season. In fact, Raskin has attempted a minimum of one effort in 15 of his last 18 outings in the Scottish top flight, including four during Rangers’ recent home game with Celtic.
With Rangers expected to dictate the tempo of the game, and Dundee United giving up an average of 14.56 shots per game in the Scottish Premiership this season, a minimum of one shot from Raskin looks well within range.
