Middlesbrough v Bolton Wanderers
Skybet Championship. Kick-Off: 7.45pm, Wednesday September 19th.
MIDDLESBROUGH entertain Bolton at the Riverside this evening as they try to bounce back from their first defeat of the season at Norwich last Saturday.
They know victory this evening will take them back to second place in the Championship one point behind leaders Leeds United. Bolton started the season well unbeaten in 4 games but have failed to register a win in the last three outings (2 defeats and a draw) and appear to have lost any early momentum.
The Boro have the best defensive record in the Division having only conceded 3 goals in 7 games and have yet to concede where they have a 100% record. Bolton sit 12th in the league with the incentive that a win tonight could take them into a play off position if results fall right for them.
The H2H are very revealing with Bolton having failed to find the net at the Riverside in their last four visits. Their last goal was in October 2012 wjen Lee Chung -Yong scored in a 2-1 defeat. Their last victory came in 2008 on Teeside. It could be another long hard night for the guys from Lancashire.
Both managers Tony Pullis and Phil Parkinson will be looking for improved performances form their teams after narrow defeats last weekend.
I fully expect a Boro to show bounce back ability to secure a comfortable victory.
