WEEK two of the NFL season kicks off on Thursday night with New York Jets' trip to face Buffalo Bills and Jordan has picked out a bet.
He says: “Sammy Watkins is questionable after no participation in practice today. Robert Woods is the clear number two WR at Buffalo and if Watkins is out/limited, Woods should see more targets after already combining with Taylor on Sunday.
“The Jets were known for their tough defense last year, but their veteran CB Darelle Revis might be feeling father time after AJ Green racked up 180 yards against this secondary on Sunday.”

Hi jordan.Been backing NFL for a few years and done ok backing ATS and TGS.Notice you going for individual props.Do you think this is an easier market or do you vary as season goes on?Asking as always looking to learn new things.cheers in advance.
Team pts correction
Keef, a few tipsters a few years ago found prop bets the way to go and I don’t want to speak for Jordan but I suspect that after a couple of seasons betting on the NFL, he is going the same way, as this is a profitable way to go, as long as you’re on the right ones. It the same way Greg always says Goals is the way forward it is the same on the NFL. I would say always check out US based websites for in depth tips, analyst and of course, us the guys on here :-)

I said I was going to bring excitement and winners to this thread, and hopefully get some of the old guard back to the thread, that at one time had O100 posts and was full of banter and chat. I feel I delivered in week 1 in terms of tips. Once the season develops and all of us on here deliver top tips we will get the traffic back, rather than slagging of a QB day in, day out. If it is bant’s than fair enough but I for one was bored of it. Let’s keep it to tipping and bashing the bookies!! Roll on week 2

it’s nothing to do do with slagging a quarterback it’s to do with letting people know Green Bay are not good enough to win a Super Bowl and also not good enough to get to a Super Bowl and I give reasons for my views
It’s nearly Salsa Time
@keef, as Max says everyone has their own opinions but I tend to enjoy props, as if you can determine how you think the game will pan out (not very often in the NFL) you’re more likely to have a better chance at a prop. I don’t back outright wins in football mainly because its much harder to predict, but with yesterdays bet you’ll see I don’t mind backing outrights in the NFL. It’s each to their own at the end of the day but its where I’m on the ball the most.
For instance if you think a team is going to win against a team with a poor rush defence, then backing your favoured sides running backs yards would be the way to go. A) The opponent isn’t good at stopping the run regardless, and B) There will be more chance of clock chewing late on by running the ball.
For instance if you think a side was going to win but the same team is terrible at stopping the pass, then you’re likely to back the QB’s passing yards who you think will lose. A) If they’re trailing by two scores or more they’ll likely abandon the run game, and B) The star receiver will be targeted more often for points needed.
It doesn’t always work out that way but its just a few of the things I take into account when betting on props. Hope that explained something.
Thanks for the explanation,I am definitely learning good things on this site.On the football I now tend to bet goals and not teams after following MrF’s threads.I will be having some props bets this weekend for sure.GL.

I’ve got a free in-play bet from bet365 on the Bills vs Jets game. I usually only get the offer on football (soccer) so do the customary over 0.5 goals and then go crazy in-play. This is the 1st time I’ve got it for NFL though so not sure of the best way to take advantage of the offer. Any Advice/Tips from you NFL experts would be awesome. Thx lads
I would wait to see if Watkins starts and how much he is involved on Buffalo’s first drive and go from there. As i said below i fancy the Bills tonight but both struggled in week one so it is a tough one to call.
If it is a sizeable free bet that has to be used in one go maybe a play on the unders is wise with both offensive not exactly on fire at the moment.
(Think i reported your comment by mistake Gunner i meant to click reply my bad!)
No worries, thanks bro. Appreciate the input. Yeh you gotta put a pre-match bet in and then get an in-play bet to the same value (Up to $50) for free so its all about figuring out the best way to make a small profit or to go big and play it risky. I’m definitely thinking of playing it safe as I’m no NFL expert at all.
Like the look of the Bills tonight who have had the Jets number over the last few meetings. Sammie Watkins wants and is ready to play tonight. With no participation in training all week i can’t see him being involved in as much plays as he would like and weather he will actually play is still up in the air. On that note i’ll have a dabble on…..
LeSean McCoy 1st touchdown/Buffalo Bills to win 12/1 1pt
Robert Woods 1st touchdown/Buffalo Bills to win 22/1 1pt
Buffalo Bills -2.5 and under 42.5 points in the mathch 13/5 2pts
2/2 for me so far from week 1 so hoping to keep the good strike rate up best of luck everyone!

Friday 1:25am
NY Jets @ Buffalo Bills
BUFFALO BILLS to win 23/20 Stan James
UNDER 39.5pts 1/1 bet365
Big game tonight with big stakes but big games don’t guarantee classics,
This will be painful to watch with two quarterbacks that are just not firing and two teams that are nearly as bad as each other.
It’s been well documented that the Jets have a very difficult start to the season so they really can’t afford to go 0-2
The Bills aren’t under as much pressure as the Jets but Rex Ryan can’t survive many more defeats,
We have too teams here that are defence minded, who are good at it and who should keep this game to under the 39.5 points
The news coming out of New Era Field is that Sammy Watkins will play and boy do the Bills need him.
Both quarterbacks have struggled and their offences are non existent and a score of 20-16 for the Bills is my prediction
Bilal Powell looks to be be Jets go to guy for this game even more than Matt Forte but Powells 48 rush & receiving yards is odds on 4/5 so I can’t back that as its odds on

Have a fair few props lined up but markets will probably be out Saturday morning.
Hmm tonight’s game looks a drab affair, glad it’s a Thursday night game hope it’s better than it looks on paper for those watching. Looking at the td scorer market I fancy Matt forte as he looked good last week he’s is as good on ground as he is a backfield option catching so he has to be worth a look but anytime scorer he is about 6/5 so not gping to lay out cash whilst I sleep on a short price. For a bit of interest to see if the Sunday matches can be funded am having a go at a long shot
Forte and Marshall anytime and jets win by 13+ at 28/1
