Preston v Bolton
Skybet Championship. Kick-Off: 3pm, Saturday September 1st.
STICKING with my Value team of the moment (they haven't let me down in my last two previews featuring them) I'm sticking with a resurgent Bolton as my focus for this weekend's UK footy, despite being spanked 3-0 by an no-nonsense Sheffield Utd last Saturday – a match that I avoided either tipping or betting on.
Bolton's ‘phoenix from the ashes' story still has a way to go yet, although a bumpy road. Parkinson's men will have had their confidence knocked last weekend but I think this will raise their game if anything.
The trotters still have plenty to smile about have a fully fit squad to choose from and sitting a buoyant 3rd in the table.
Both teams have decent goal getters , Preston have Burke and young Josh Harrop who netted 4 goals in his first season. Another exciting Preston prospect,Lukas Nmecha improves every time he takes to the pitch.
But I'm sticking with Bolton here to nick a draw and maybe even win as the odds are far too generous to ignore.
The likes of Magennis, Buckley and Wildeschut provide some serious goal opportunities for the away team and in my opinion the bookies have seriously underestimated the newly fired up Wanderers. 11/20 on a Preston win is simply inexplicable to me ?
