RESERVE league action in Scotland today as a rampant Rangers side host Hamilton at 2pm at the Hummel training centre.

I've been really impressed with this young Rangers side especially in recent weeks as they put to the sword two very good and experienced Hibs and Celtic sides who are two of the best sides in the league.

They should rack up another win today and although Hamilton will present a tough test it's hard to see anything other than a home win.

Partick Thistle could be worth backing at 9-5 away to Ayr tonight in the Championship and there is also full French Ligue 2 card at 7pm which I'll be on.

Rangers Reserves vs Hamilton Reserves (2pm)

It was a terrific win last week for this young Rangers side as they defeated an experienced Celtic side 2-0 at Cappielow and that was fresh off the back of beating a Hibs side 3-2 who had 7 first-team players in the starting 11.

Those two results were against the two of the best sides in the league and with Glen Middleton scoring goals and pulling the strings you have to fancy them yo rack up another win at home to Hamilton who struggle against the league's better sides.

Unlike a lot of clubs, Rangers don't plough in half a dozen first-team players into their squad, they just have a really good young team and the bookies aren't taking any chances with Rangers priced up at 1/4.

They have also squeezed out value in goals – over 1.5 first-half goals is worth backing but will need to wait until the market appears nearer KO.

One market I like the look of is Rangers HT/FT  – with Rangers at home and in cracking form 10/11 is a reasonable price

Recommended Bet

  • Rangers Half-Time/Full-Time
  • 10/11 (Bet365) (NAP)

French Ligue 2  – 9 matches (7pm)

  • Total match goals (awaiting prices)
  • All matches over 0.5 1st half goals
  • 32/1 (Bet365)
  • All matches over 1.5 goals
  • 20/1 (Skybet)

Skybet aren’t offering total goals now in France which is disappointing but you can still back first half goals and over 1.5 match goals

I meant the Rangers reserves game, but now I see its because the game was an early kick-off. Doh !

Missed the boat there. What was the 90min win price ? about 1/2 I’m guessing.
