We’re coming to the business end of the season and there’s still everything to play for in the Premiership with all 12 teams fighting for something.
Celtic still lead the way but they face bogey team Livingston tomorrow at the Tony Macaroni and Rangers will be out to pile on the pressure today by beating Aberdeen at Ibrox to move level on points with the Hoops.
The Dons slumped to 10th in the table with a midweek loss to Hearts and have taken just two points from the first three games of Jim Goodwin’s Pittodrie reign.
But the middle of the table is so congested that they remain just five points adrift of fourth-placed Livi and Aberdeen can take heart from the fact both their clashes with Rangers this term have ended in stalemates.
Gers also drew 2-2 with Motherwell in their last home game so BTTS stands a chance today at 23/20 (McBookie).
But it’s safer backing cards with Dons wind-up merchant supreme Scott Brown making his comeback from injury on Wednesday at Tynecastle.
The last meeting saw eight yellows and a red while five bookings were dished out in the draw at Ibrox.
Over 4.5 cards here pays 17/20 with Unibet but the odds increase for individual players and Brown is 8/5 at Bet365 to be carded.
That’s terrific value if he starts but two games in just a few days after injury might be too much for the veteran.
So I’m going for Declan Gallagher instead at 21/10 (Bet365) as the Dons stopper has picked up three yellows in his last six appearances.
Celtic could be forgiven for breaking out in a cold sweat as they head down the M8 to Livingston tomorrow as they haven’t won on their last five visits.
The Lions also drew 0-0 at Parkhead earlier this season and there’s been a single goal across the two games.
It should be tight again so under 2.5 goals – a bet that landed for me in midweek when the Hoops defeated St Mirren – appeals at 23/20 with Betfair.
The Parkhead side racked up 10 corners on their last visit to West Lothian so I like the look of the 11/10 on offer at Bet365 for over 7.5 Celtic corners tomorrow.
Dundee edged to within a point of St Johnstone at the bottom in midweek but still failed to impress in a 0-0 draw against 10-man Hibs.
Mark McGhee’s men now take on a Motherwell side still looking for their first league win in 2022.
Despite that poor form I still fancy the Steelmen today at 23/20 (Coral).
St Johnstone will fancy their chances at Easter Road with Hibs missing so many players and lacking a cutting edge since Martin Boyle’s departure.
The Perth men are 17/4 with Unibet for a win but I’m playing it a bit safer and backing them in the double chance market at 21/20 with the same firm.
Hearts look to have third place in the bag already with a 12-point gap to the chasing pack but face a tricky road trip to Tannadice this afternoon.
It ended 2-0 to the Jambos on their last visit and I’m betting against BTTS again today at 11/12 with SBK.
On-loan Everton striker Ellis Simms has caught the eye for Robbie Neilson’s side and he’s 15/8 at McBookie for anytime scorer.
Ross County have moved away from the drop zone and fans are now dreaming of a top-six place.
Today’s clash with St Mirren will be pivotal to both side’s chances of finishing in the top half and there should be goals.
BTTS is 20/21 at McBookie who price over 2.5 strikes at 6/5.
