CELTIC may have wrapped up the title but the battle for second and third places is going down to the wire.
Aberdeen will move into pole position for runners-up spot if they win at Motherwell tonight but all eyes are on Hibs who could cost the Dons or Rangers a Europa League spot.
Hibs should see off Hamilton at home and are a best 4-9 at McBookie to move within one point of the Ibrox men.
Neil Lennon's men struggled to put away Partick and will be again without banned John McGinn but should still have enough to take care of an Accies side who are pretty powderpuff on the road.
Rangers remain 10-11 favourites with McBookie to finish second behind Celtic but I'd favour Aberdeen at 5-4 while Hibs aren't out of it at 7-1.
Aberdeen tempt at 23-20 with William Hill tonight as they visit a Motherwell side whose top-six hopes are all but over after Hearts drew at Dundee on Sunday.
However, Well have beaten the Dons twice this season – in the league and Betfred Cup semis – and meet again in the Scottish Cup semis.
Motherwell were superb for 45 minutes against Rangers with Curtis Main causing all sorts of problems and while I fancy the Dons to edge it I'm on both to score at 19-20 with Ladbrokes.
The third Premiership game sees the bottom two meet in Dingwall. Partick Thistle will move six clear of Ross County with a win.
I'm on them at 2-1 with McBookie as their performance levels have been a bit better than their hosts in recent weeks and County will be weakened by the absence of skipper Andrew Davies who was sent off against Celtic at the weekend.
In the Championship Dundee United improved at Morton on Saturday and were seconds from victory.
They have dropped put of the play-offs and into fifth but should be OK if they win their two games in hand on Dunfermline and Morton.
Despite their troubles I'm backing them to beat an off-form Dumbarton side resigned to the relegation play-offs. United are 1-2 with McBookie.
Dunfermline have a massive game at home to Livingston who should be safe in second. The Pars have Nicky Clark in hit form after two recent hat-tricks and best bet is the ex-Rangers striker to score at 13-8 with bet365.
If Inverness win their games in hand they'll be two points behind Dunfermline but I can't see them getting into the play-off picture. Three points though is a given against a Brechin side winless in the league and pointless away.
They're already down and look pretty forlorn. Inverness are 3-5 with McBookie -1 and should cover the -2 handicap at 15-8 with Paddy Power.
Montrose look a good bet at 13-16 with 188Bet to move three clear at the top of League Two by winning at basement boys Cowdenbeath.
Recommended Bets
- Hibs/Dundee Utd double
- Aberdeen +1/Partick Th +1 double
- Inverness -1 and -2
- Clark to score
- Montrose
John Mcginn is still suspended mate. Back Saturday.
Haha, was going to check team news in the Record in the morning before I published but then decided to put it up having found nothing on Hibs website or in any previews. Cheers
Hibs will win tonight
