THE week of goals continued last night and there are plenty of matches today to choose from, but as usual on a Saturday, it will be Scotland where my tips will be coming from.
I've picked three matches and you can hear our thoughts, analysis and recommendations on this week's Gambla Bettting Podcast, it's well worth a listen.
Here's a quick summary:
Partick Thistle vs Arbroath (KO 3pm)
Ian McCall is now 3 wins from 4 as Thistle boss and they won't have a better chance to end their home hoodoo than a home match against part-time Arbroath.
They came back from a goal down to win 3-1 late on in Dundee last week and that will have given them huge confidence for this home match they must be winning.
Arbroath have been a good acquisition to the Championship but have already lost away at ICT and the two Dundee sides. They've only managed 4 goals in their last 8 games and I don't see them leaving with anything here. Thistle to finally get a home win. They are just under 4/5 to win and are 11/10 to win and over 1.5 goals but going for Thistle goals here.
Recommended Bet:
- Partick Thistle to score 2+ goals
- 8/11 (Skybet) (NAP)
Falkirk vs Clyde (KO 3pm)
The Bairns have been good to us at home this season with 4 wins and a draw, scoring 15 goals conceding just once. Clyde will offer a sterner test than Peterhead did last week and if the Falkirk can contain 11-goal hitman David Goodwillie they should rack up another comfortable home win.
Taking the Falkirk to win this and score twice, something they've done in 4 of their 5 home games this season (and quite rightly with that squad).
Recommended Bet:
- Falkirk to win and to score 2 goals
- 10/11 (Bet365 Bet Builder)
Dundee United vs Dunfermline (KO 3pm)
It's been a poor few weeks for United, losing consecutive away matches and it's their away form that is a real concern. At home though they have been blowing teams away.
Played 4, won 4, scored 18 goals – expecting a reaction against a Pars side who United have only lost to once in the last 21 meetings between the sides.
The Pars are in decent fettle coming into this but have played sides in the league who are struggling. United to get back to winning ways and scoring goals.
Recommended Bet:
- Dundee United to score 2+ goals
- 8/11 (Skybet)
