IT was a terrific night for Scottish football as both Rangers and Celtic recorded tremendous Europa league wins with Celtic through to the knockout stages with two games to spare after a incredible 2-1 victory in Rome whilst Rangers have their destiny in their own hands after disposing Porto 2-0.
Its back to domestic action and what a way to kick of the weekend's footballing action with a Dundee Derby at Dens Park as 1st play 3rd and if it's even a fraction as good as the last derby (6-2 Dundee United) we are in for a treat.
Selectabet and I have given our thought's on the match on the Gambla Betting Podcast and its well worth a listen.
Dundee vs Dundee United (7.45pm)
Its the second Dundee Derby of the season and punters where served a treat when United demolished their city rivals 6-2 at home.
Both sides come into this off the back of a hatrick of league wins and with this being at Dens, thee probably isn't much between the sides.
Dundee Manager James McPake might be a bit premature in saying “he knew his side would come good” – yes 4 wins in 5 is great going but lose tonight and they'll find themselves 9 points behind their rivals and the wins they have racked up have all come against sides struggling or on a poor run.
United put their away day blues to bed with a terrific 3-0 hammering of ICT last weekend, and with Shankland doing what Shankland does, he'll be popular to score tonight.
Dundee Striker Kane Hemmings is finally finishing the form that justified Dundee bringing him back, he has three in his last three and will be their main threat.
In terms of the betting angle its hard to look past goals – the last 7 meetings have seen both teams score, 9 of the last 10 have seen both sides scores, 9 of the last 10 have gone over 2.5 goals with 9 of the last 10 at Dens seeing at least three goals.
I would say Dundee's defence are still suspect and will have to be on their game to deal with Unteds attacking threat but they are more than capable of finding the net and this should be another over 2.5 goals and btts.
Recommended Bet:
- Over 2.5 goals
- 93/100 (Marathonbet) (NAP)
Norwich vs Watford (KO 8pm)
A home game for Norwich means one thing . . . . . Late goals.
Similar to my QPR late goal bets there is always a high number of second half goals at Carrow road, especially goals from 80+ minute onwards
It's a basement battle with both sides having a horrible season far with just 7 and 5 points collected after 11 games.
Norwich's home games have been laden with goals (3-1 2-3 3-2 1-5 1-3) – 24 goals in 5 games, 10 scored 14 conceded with 4 of those 5 home games seeing at least 2 second half goals
There have been goals scored in the 75th, 83rd, 87th, 88th, 88th and 90th minutes and given the importance of this game we should see goals.
Recommended Bets:
- Over 1.5 second half goals
- 9/10 (BetVictor)
- Goal after 76 mins
- 19/20 (Betway)
French Ligue 2 – 8 matches (7pm)
Always worth a punt for small sakes for over 0.5 first half goals 28/1 / over 1.5 goals 25/1 and 18+ total goals 5/6
All with Skybet

Are u not on the Austrian League 2 goal trail tonight Greg? I nearly landed a big pay day last Friday but was 1 goal away.
Sure am mate – will be on early goals ( before 10 mins and 30 mins )
I did the Goal line last week, 5 folds and 6 fold. 1 game let it down. Still got £112 back off a £35 bet but it was over £900 if the other came in. Looks sure to be plenty of goals tonight.
1 game lets me down again for decent pay day, maybe I should learn to cash-out!!
