View our expert's Goals Accumulator Tips & Predictions for Saturday which features two both teams to score tip and two team goals selections.
Our Goals Acca Tips are based on a statistical analysis of recent performances.
Arsenal to Score 2+
Arsenal will look to begin their Premier League campaign with back-to-back victories, as they host Leicester City at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners began their League campaign winning 0-2 away to a tricky Crystal Palace side, whilst Leicester threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home to Brentford.
The Foxes struggled defensively on their travels last season, registering just one clean away from home (against relegated Burnley), conceding on 36 occasions.
Only champions Manchester City (49) and runners-up Liverpool (47) collected more points at home last season than Arsenal and given Mikel Arteta’s side scored on multiple occasions in 12/19 of their league fixtures as hosts, I’m happy to back them to bag another brace against this leaky Leicester defence.
Manchester City to Score 3+
Two sides who opened up their campaign with a 2-0 victory meet at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon, as reigning champions Manchester City host newly-promoted Bournemouth.
Pep Guardiola’s side began their defence of the Premier League trophy with a comfortable 0-2 victory away David Moyes’ well-drilled West Ham side.
As already alluded to above, Bournemouth kicked-off with a 2-0 victory themselves, as they shocked Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.
The Citizens have won each of their last 11 encounters with the Cherries, scoring 32 times and given the gulf in class between the two sides, there’s a good chance City will find the back of the net at least three times
Southampton vs Leeds United – Both Teams to Score
Two sides who suffered tough campaigns in the Premier League last season meet at St. Mary’s on Saturday, as Southampton host Leeds United.
Despite taking an early lead, The Saints lost 4-1 at Spurs last weekend, whilst Jesse Marsch’s side came from a goal down to win 2-1 against Wolves.
Ralph Hasenhüttl’s hosts found the back of the net in 16/19 of their home fixtures last season and there’s a good chance they’ll net against a Leeds defence that’s kept only three clean sheets on their travels last season.
Southampton have conceded in 12 of their last 13 league outings and I also can’t see them shutting out a Leeds side that’s scored nine goals in their last five Premier League road trips.
Brentford vs Manchester United – Both Teams to Score
Erik Ten Hag searches for his first points as Manchester United, as they travel to West London to take on Brentford on Saturday evening.
The Red Devils began their league campaign with a disappointing 1-2 at home to Brighton, whilst The Bees came from two-goals down to draw 2-2 away at Leicester.
Thomas Frank’s side found the back of the net in 13/19 of their home fixtures in the league last season and there’s every chance they’ll net against this vulnerable United defence that kept only three clean sheets on their travels last season.
United only failed to score in four of their away league matches last season and I don’t expect them not to find the back of the net in what has the potential to be an entertaining encounter in West London.
