View our expert's Goals Accumulator Tips & Predictions for Saturday which features a both teams to score tip and three sides to Score 2+ goals.
Our Goals Acca Tips are based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Finland vs Bosnia & Herzegovina
Two sides who failed to qualify for this years World Cup kick off their Nations League campaign in Helsinki, as Finland host Bosnia at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
Finland narrowly missed out on qualifying for their first ever World Cup, as they finished just a point behind second-placed Ukraine, whilst the Bosnians finished four behind Finland in the same group.
Markku Kanerva’s side scored in 6/8 of their qualifiers, only failing to score in both matches against France and there’s a good chance they’ll score against a Bosnia side who’s only clean sheet was away to bottom side Kazakhstan.
However, The Eagle-owls only clean sheets came against Kazakhstan and just like the two group matches between the two, I like the look of goals at both ends in Helsinki.
England to Score 2+
England begin their Nations League campaign in Budapest, as they take on Hungary at the Puskás Aréna.
Gareth Southgate’s side qualified for this years World Cup with relative ease, finishing six points clear of second-placed Poland after collecting 26 points from a possible 30.
Hungary, on the other hand, were unsuccessful in qualifying for their first World Cup since 1986, as they finished in fourth spot, three points points the Poles.
Four of the Magyars five wins in World Cup qualifying came against Andorra and San Marino and given England scored at least twice in 8/10 of their’s, I’m happy to back The Three Lions to make the net bulge at least twice, something they achieved in their last visit to Budapest last September.
Germany to Score 2+
European champions Italy start their Nations League campaign against old rivals Germany at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Saturday evening.
Prior to their 0-3 defeat against Argentina in the Finalissima in midweek, Italy failed to qualify for their second successive World Cup, as they were defeated 0-1 at home to North Macedonia in their playoff semi-final.
Whilst Germany also lost at home to North Macedonia in World Cup qualifying, Die Mannschaft won their other nine qualifiers to top the group and qualify for Qatar.
Germany scored 36 goals in World Cup qualifying and I’m happy to take a chance on Hansi Flick’s side to score a brace against this out-of-form Italy team.
Turkey to Score 2+
Two sides who won’t make it to Qatar this year kick-off their Nations League campaign in Istanbul, as Turkey play host to the Faroe Islands.
Stefan Kuntz’s side were impressive in World Cup qualification, finishing just two points behind the Dutch in second spot after collecting 21 points from a possible 30, but they were beaten 3-1 by Portugal in their playoff semi-final, ending their hopes of reaching Qatar.
Unsurprisingly, the Faroe Islands failed to qualify for their first ever World Cup and picked up just four points in qualifying, with all four coming against bottom side Moldova.
The Crescent-Stars scored 27 goals in World Cup qualifying, scoring two or more in 8/10 of their matches and they should make the net bulge at least twice against the Faroe’s who conceded 14 goals in their five qualifiers away from home.
