BAGGIO is a regular contributor to the site and boasts an excellent track record with his rugby tips.

Here are his picks for Thursday morning's Mitre 10 Cup clash in New Zealand between Southland and North Harbour.

Baggio says: “The easy money is on the North Harbour win, but I think it might be a bit closer than the bookies predict. However, it’s points that take my fancy in this match. Both teams had low scoring games in the first round and the bar is set at 45 for total points. A glimpse at the weather may suggest why it is so low but on closer inspection there is a break in the rain about 4/5 hours before KO until well after the mstch has finished.”

H2Hs suggest points in this match up with 51, 65 and 48 scored previously. Therefore I’m on the following bets and 2/3 should come in. GL if you follow.

Southland v North Harbour (8.35am)

  • Over 45.5 total points
    (9-10, bet365)
  • Southland over 16.5 team points
    (8-11, bet365)
  • North Harbour over 27.5 team points
    (9-10, bet365)

Any chance of having more threads per page?
Looked for 23 Aug Top Tips at 9.30 last night and found it on page two.
Nice to have more threads but feel that the day’s Top Tips should maybe be pinned at the top?

Again that’s one for admin but top tips are easy to find and aren’t usually too far down.

    Morning Gents

Great to see a Rugby thread and congrats on a successful 1st day Baggio! Great analysis and well deserved. Here’s to a lot more in the future.

My rugby contribution this morning comes in the form of Rugby League:

Brisbane Broncos v Parramatta Eels (10.50am KO)

Parramatta Eels Over 12.5 Team Points @1.8 (Bet365)

I feel this line is set too low and the Eels are being underestimated here. The two teams played last month and the Eels managed to put 28 points past the Broncos. Granted they were at home but the time before that the Eels still managed to rack up 16 points. The Eels have enjoyed a relative amount of success recently, and will have confidence coming into this match. The Broncos should win in the end but 13 points is more than capable for the Eels.

    GL all

    **WIN**

15 minutes in and it’s 18-0 to the Eels! Great morning of rugby all round
