MANCHESTER UNITED continues to make steady progress under Erik ten Hag and they will expect another three points on Saturday when they travel to face Wolves.
United made light work of Nottingham Forest in midweek and cruised to a comfortable win to take their recent record to seven wins out of eight in all competitions.
Although they remain 11 points off the pace and have surely given themselves too much to do to get back into the title race, they look to be a side on the up and will certainly see the top four and subsequent Champions League qualification as the minimum aim this season.
Wolves received an almighty boost themselves at the start of the week when an injury time goal at Goodison Park saw them edge to a 2-1 win at Everton.
It hauled them off the bottom of the league and took them to a point from Everton and safety. Certainly, the appointment of former Spain boss Julen Lopetegui seems to have given them an enormous lift and it looks like a shrewd move.
But he will have his work cut out trying to snatch anything from an in-form United side on Saturday.

They do produce the odd stinker – as a 3-1 defeat at Aston Villa proved – but they have plenty of options in their squad at the moment and can edge out Wolves.
