St Mirren and Motherwell meet in Paisley on Saturday, having both faced the Old Firm last week, but only the visitors came out with a hard-earned point.
Saints were handed with the most difficult opening fixture it was possible to get when they were the guests at Celtic's title flag day.
But they came within five minutes of completely spoiling the party with a dogged, backs-against-the-wall defensive display, with only that late goal from Luke McCowan handing the Hoops the win.
Motherwell went even better by not only netting their own late gol to equalise against Rangers at Fir Park last Sunday, but they produced a really impressive dominant display against Russell Martin's new-look side causing him to call out his own players.
Well look like they could be a good watch under new Danish boss Jens Berthel Askou, although he's running a tight ship, having only brought in seven players so far.
Saints are aiming for their fourth consecutive top six finish under Stephen Robinson.
How the bookies view it: Saints backed to win
St Mirren are odds-on favourites at 20/21 with Boylesports, with Well 13/5 outsiders and the draw 12/5 with the same firm.
Recent head to heads: Well had upper hand last term
Motherwell had the better of the meetings last season with home and away wins. The other game finished in a 2-2 draw.
Well are currently on a five-game unbeaten streak against Saints.
Players to watch: Well Longelo for a goal
St Mirren's main goal threat is usually Mikael Mandron and he already has four goals this season in the League Cup group stages. The French hitman is a big price at 14/5 to score anytime with Betfred.
Emmanuel Longelo made a great impact in his first league game for Motherwell last week with the equaliser against Rangers and the former West Ham player is 10/1 to score anytime and repeat last week's heroics with bet365.
Predicted line-ups:
St Mirren could include Evan Mooney after he recovered from an ankle injury and have a clean bill of health.
Motherwell look set to leave out in-demand Scotland international Lennon Miller after repeated speculation linking him with a move to Serie A. Jordan McGhee, Sam Nicholson and Zach Robinson are all out.
St Mirren: George, Fraser, Gogic, King, Richardson, Phillips, Taylor, O'Hara, John, Idowu, Mandron.
Motherwell: Ward, Koutroumbis, Gordon, McGinn, Longelo, Watt, Slattery, Maswanhise, Just, Fadinger, Stamatelopoulos.
Anything else catch the eye?
Motherwell took plenty of plaudits for the way they bossed Rangers in the second half at Fir Park this week, but St Mirren look well-equipped for another strong season and should have too much for Well.
Saints have the nucleus of a strong squad and will be aiming for another against-the-odds top-six showing.
They are also particularly strong in Paisley and can collect their first win of the season.
This might be tight again with both sides defensively tight, as St Mirren certainly showed last week at Celtic.
Back under 2.5 goals at 5/6 with Boylesports.
