Sevilla vs PSV Eindhoven
UEFA Champions League, KO: 17:45 Nov 29, 2023, Estadio Ramon Sanchez PizjuanSevilla are still seeking their first win in Group D of the UEFA Champions League as they host PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday. The Spanish side has been plagued by too many draws lately and having patted to a stalemate in the reverse fixture, both teams could be set to cancel each other out once again.
It has been a rough Champions League campaign for Sevilla, who are still without a win in Group D after four matches. The reigning Europa League champions may not even get the chance to defend their title as they are currently bottom of the standings and may crash out of Europe altogether.
After beginning their campaign with successive draws with PSV and Lens, Sevilla have gone on to lose their last two matches. They were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal in their previous Champions League fixture, finishing with just a single attempt on target throughout the contest.
Sevilla’s struggles are normally just limited to the Champions League as they have picked up just one win in their last 10 matches across all competitions. Diego Alonso’s men have played out six draws in that run but were beaten 2-1 by Real Sociedad in a La Liga fixture last weekend.
PSV Eindhoven have fared better than Sevilla in Group D and seem to have improved since the 4-0 defeat to Arsenal on match-day one. They played out two draws before claiming a 1-0 victory over Lens in their previous fixture.
Away from the Champions League, PSV Eindhoven have been in superb form, as they are unbeaten in 13 of their last 14 matches. Peter Bosz’s men have picked up 10 wins in that run, including a 3-0 victory at Twente in an Eredivisie clash on Saturday.
The win at Twente highlights a solid record for PSV Eindhoven on their travels as they have lost just once in their last 11 away matches across all competitions. They have picked up eight wins in that run but played out a 1-1 draw with Lens in their previous Champions League fixture on the road.

Head to head
Sevilla and PSV have claimed one win each and played out one draw from three previous meetings. That draw came in the reverse fixture as both teams battled to a 2-2 scoreline back in October.
Players to watch
Youssef En-Nesyri has been the shining light for Sevilla in a difficult campaign and heads into Wednesday’s clash with three goals in his last six matches across all competitions. The striker was also on target in the reverse fixture and is priced at 13/8 by BetVictor to get on the score sheet.
Luuk de Jong has also impressed for PSV Eindhoven in recent weeks with four goals in his last five matches across all competitions. The Dutch striker got on the score sheet in the reverse fixture and is priced at 11/5 by bet365 to find the net on Wednesday.
Anything else catch the eye?
There were over 3.5 goals in the reverse fixture and a similar outcome is priced at 42/20 by Unibet. Over 2.5 goals could also be considered at 4/5 with William Hill, who is also offering odds of 4/6 on both teams to score.
The second half had more goals in the reverse fixture and Wednesday’s clash could be tipped to follow a similar pattern at evens with Paddy Power.
