IT'S do-or-die time for Shelley Kerr's Scotland side as they bid to reach the knockout stages in their first World Cup.
Even Kerr herself has admitted it was always going to come down to the final group game against Argentina, with the Scots underdogs for the first two games against England and Japan.
Both those matches followed the same pattern, with Kerr's side getting off to a poor start and falling two goals behind before mounting a late rally.
They emerged with credit, although sadly without any points, and that has made the final game with the Argentines a must-win.
Even a victory might not be enough, with only four of the best third-placed teams qualifying for the last 16. It might come down to goal difference so Kerr's side will have to be more adventurous than they were in the first two games.
Much has been made of Argentina's ultra-defensive football in their opening matches, a 0-0 draw with Japan and a 1-0 loss to the English.
But I'd be surprised if they adopted the same strategy here as they also need a win to secure passage to the knockout stage.
Argentina might shut up shop again if they take the lead, given four points will probably be enough to take them through and they won't need to worry about goal difference.
But if the Scots score first it will be a far more open game and neutrals will be praying Kerr's side can break the deadlock to force their opponents to take all the shackles off.
I'm surprised to see the Scots as short as 8/13 with Skybet for the win, given Argentina's results have been better so far in the World Cup. That's probably down to the world rankings, with Scotland 17 places above their opponents in the standings. But there are reasons for Argentina's lowly status, most notably the fact the women's side spent two years in the international wilderness due to a dispute with their football federation.
These sides are actually quite well matched and this is a match that could go any way. A draw suits neither side so I'd steer clear of that, even though the odds are decent at 3/1 with Paddy Power.
But many punters will take a nibble on the 5/1 BetVictor offer on the South Americans, especially if they can get their noses in front then enter park-the-bus mode again. A 1-0 Argentina win pays 14-1 at Ladbrokes and that's an excellent option if you are looking for a long-odds punt.
It all boils down to which side scores first and, as a patriotic Scot, I'm backing Kerr's side to make the breakthrough. They're sadly just 1/2 with Ladbrokes to net first but that could open the game up and I fancy over 2.5 goals at evens with Bet365.
The match could become stretched after the break and that lends value to the second period being the highest-scoring half at 113/100 with Marathonbet.
Erin Cuthbert has looked lively for Scotland so far in the World Cup and could get the goal her industry has deserved. She's a best 19/10 with Betway for anytime scorer and the odds increase to 11/2 with the same firm for Cuthbert to break the deadlock.
