Bosnia-Herzegovina are looking to maintain their unbeaten record in the UEFA Nations League as they travel to Romania for their final Group B3 fixture. The Bosnians have already secured promotion to the elite league and should have the edge over their hosts who have been out of sorts throughout the competition.
It has been a disappointing UNL campaign for Romania who have claimed just one win from their five matches in the competition. They are currently bottom of the group but have a chance to avoid relegation if results go their way on the final match-day.
Romania head into Monday’s clash off the back of a 1-1 draw with Finland in their previous UNL fixture. They were made to come from behind with Florin Tanase’s effort just after the restart earning them a share of the spoils.
An issue for Romania in recent times is an inability to make their home games count having claimed just one win from their last four matches across all competitions. Edward Iordanescu’s men have been beaten three times in that run, including a 3-0 defeat to Montenegro in their previous home fixture in the UNL.
Bosnia-Herzegovina struggled to make an impression in their previous UNL campaign which saw them relegated to the second tier of the competition. However, it has been a glorious return to form for Ivaylo Perev’s side this year as they have already secured promotion to the elite league with one game to spare.
The Dragons have looked imperious in this year’s campaign and are unbeaten after five matches. They have claimed three wins in that run and triumphed 1-0 over Montenegro in their previous UNL fixture with Emredin Demirovic getting the only goal.
The only blemish on Bosnia-Herzegovina’s fine recent form is a poor record on the road where they have claimed just one win in their last six away matches across all competitions. However, they have also suffered just one defeat in that run and will fancy their chances against the out of sorts Romanians.
