RANGERS and PSV Eindhoven meet in a Champions League showdown with the first leg at Ibrox on Tuesday.
It's a fascinating encounter between two key members of a great Dutch team when managers Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Ruud van Nistelrooy clash in the dugouts.
Both sides overcome stern challenges to get through – Rangers, of course, had to overcome a 2-0 first leg deficit to defeat Belgian runners-up Union Saint-Gilloise 3-0 at a rocking Irox in the return leg.
And PSV were on the brink of elimination to Monaco after trailing at home before a last gasp goal took the tie into extra time where they won it 3-2.
Their weekend games saw them both cruise to easy wins. Rangers romped to a bloodless 4-0 success at home to St Johnstone and PSV thumped ten-men Go Ahead Eagles 5-2 in the Eredivisie.
Both sides are particularly strong at home, although this is the first time Rangers have had to play the second leg away from Ibrox since they defeated Red Star Belgrade last term.
It all points to a finely-poised encounter with both sides desperate for the financial jackpot Champions League riches bring.
How the bookies view it
There's not much between the teams too where the bookies are concerned. Home advantage has perhaps swayed them to make the hosts' favourite at 8/5 with William Hill. PSV can be backed at 7/4 with UniBet. The draw is available at 12/5 with SBK.
Recent head to heads
Rangers have faced PSV on six occasions and have won three times, drawn twice and lost just one. However, the Dutch side were successful in their last meeting in 2011.
Here's the highlights of PSV's weekend stroll at Go Ahead Eagles below.
Players to watch
Antonio Colak has already showed he could be a fans' favourite at Ibrox and with Alfredo Morelos likely to be used again fron the bench, the Croatian international is Rangers' main danger man. He is 9/5 with Paddy Power to score any time.
Luuk de Jong was the hero for PSV in the last round with an extra time winner against Monaco and also netted at the weekend. The former Barcelona striker is 11/4 with the same firm to silence Ibrox on Tuesday.
Anything else catch the eye?
Both sides have attacking qualities as they demonstrated at the weekend and goals could well be the way to go here. It's a tad skinny at 8/11, but bet365's both teams to score looks just about as solid as you can get. Neither side's defence is watertight as has been shown in Europe this season.
In the same token, over 2.5 goals looks likely too at 19/20 with Unibet.
Rangers managed a blizzard of first half corners against USG, while PSV only managed one in their away tie in Monaco so there's every reason to be all over the 13/10 from bet365 for Rangers -1 on the corners handicaps.
