In-form QPR will look to maintain their push for a playoff place as they host Swansea City in a midweek English Championship fixture. The Welsh side have looked out of sorts in recent weeks and the hosts will be confident or coming out on top on Tuesday.
QPR have looked a different side since the turn of the year and are making a push for a playoff spot. They are also in the mix for automatic promotion, sitting fourth on the table, just two points behind second place Bournemouth having played a game less.
The London side head into Tuesday’s clash off the back of a 2-1 victory at Coventry City in their previous fixture. Goals in each half from Andre Gray and Albert Adomah were enough to earn them a fourth consecutive Championship victory.
Although there have been a few disappointing results, QPR have generally been solid at home this season. Mark Warburton’s men have won six of their last nine matches at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium and claimed a 1-0 victory over West Brom in their last home fixture.
Swansea City have been on a different trajectory to QPR as they are currently struggling in the bottom half of the table. However, they have a healthy 11 point lead above the relegation zone and will be looking to make a late push for the top 10.
The Welsh side claimed a 1-0 victory over Preston North End last time out in the Championship with Ryan Manning’s second half effort the difference. That was a much-needed win for Russell Martin’s men as it ended a run of three defeats and a draw from their previous four matches.
Swansea City have also struggled on their recent travels with just one win from their last three away matches. Defending has been a problem all season and they have kept just one clean sheet in their last five Championship matches.
