Following the impressive win at Marseille, PSG continue their March towards the Ligue 1 title as they welcome Nantes to the Parc des Princes on Saturday. The visitors have been out of sorts lately and should be no match for the superior quality of the Champions.
PSG took a big step towards defending their Ligue 1 title as they claimed a 3-0 victory at Marseille in their previous fixture. The big guns came to the party with Kylian Mbappe netting a brace while Lionel Messi was also on target.
Manager Christophe Galtier will consider the win a marker for PSG’s dominant status in France, having come under criticism for a string of poor displays lately. It was their second straight win and they are now eight points clear at the top of the standings.
PSG have a huge Champions League clash at Bayern Munich coming next, which means the likes of Mbappe and Messi could be rested with Hugo Ekitike given the nod in attack. However, having won nine of their last 10 Ligue 1 matches at the Parc des Princes, they will be confident of making light work of Nantes.
Nantes are also coming off a victory as they picked up a 2-1 win over Lens in a midweek Coupe De France fixture. They fought back from a goal down with a brace of penalties from Andy Delort earning them all three points.
It was a much-needed win for Nantes, who had lost their previous three matches across all competitions. Antoine Kombouare’s men suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Rennes in their previous Ligue 1 fixture and are now just seven points above the relegation zone.
The strange thing about Nantes’ recent form is that they have done some of their best work on their travels with just one defeat in the last five away matches. However, that defeat was a 3-1 loss at Lens in their previous fixture on the road.

PSG have a 35-9 advantage with nine draws from 53 previous matches against Nantes. The Parisians claimed a 3-0 victory in the reverse fixture back in August with Kylian Mbappe netting a brace.
Players to watch
Hugo Ekitike often impresses whenever he gets a chance and has scored three Ligue 1 goals this season. The young striker could be worth keeping an eye on to score anytime on Saturday at 21/10 with Unibet.
