Norwich City host Birmingham City in a midweek Championship fixture as they look to maintain their push for a promotion playoff spot.
Norwich’s dip in form has been nothing short of spectacular as they were top at some point this season and are now barely hanging on to a top 10 spot. Although currently ninth on the standings, David Wagner’s men are just three points off the promotion playoff places and could be back in contention if results go their way.
The problem for Norwich City is that they have only shown flashes of their early season form having claimed just three wins from their last 10 matches. Among the reasons for that poor run is a leaky defence which has kept just two clean sheets in the last 11 matches across all competitions.
While Norwich City have been generally erratic at Carrow Road, they did claim a 3-1 victory over Hull City in their previous home fixture. They were made to come from behind with Kieran Dowell, Gabriel Sara and Josh Sargent getting the goals.
Birmingham City have also not been at their best this season but are fighting a different battle from Norwich City. They are currently seven points above the relegation zone and will be keen to avoid getting dragged into the scrap.
The Blues were beaten 2-1 by Huddersfield Town last time out in the Championship with Troy Deeney’s early effort cancelled out by the hosts. That was their second straight defeat having lost 2-0 to Cardiff City in their previous fixture.
The defeat to Huddersfield Town highlights a problem for Birmingham City on their travels. John Eustace’s men travel to Carrow Road with three defeats in their last four Championship away matches.
How the bookies view it

Players to watch
Josh Sargent remains the leading scorer for Norwich City with 11 Championship goals and will be the one to watch on Tuesday. The forward was also on target in the previous fixture at Carrow Road and is priced at 8/5 by Betfred to find the net.
Birmingham City will look to leading scorer Scott Hogan to provide the spark in attack. The striker will be keen to add to his 10 Championship goals this season and is priced at 15/4 by bet365 to find the net on Tuesday.
Anything else catch the eye?
Norwich City and Birmingham City have struggled defensively this season and given the quality in their attacks, both teams can be backed to score at evens with William Hill. There were over 2.5 goals in the reverse fixture and a repeat is priced at evens with bet365.
The Canaries are priced at minimal odds for a straight victory so a home win and over 2.5 goals can be considered at 7/4 with bet365.
