Nice and Basel square off in the second leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final tie with the contest level after the first meeting.
The hosts are looking to complete the job in front of their fans having come from behind to earn a 2-2 draw in the first meeting. They conceded midway through the first half but went into the break in the lead thanks to a brace from Terem Moffi before allowing the hosts draw level.
It has been a generally rough period for Nice, who are winless in their last five matches across all competitions. The French side head into Thursday’s second leg off the back of a 1-0 defeat at Brest in a Ligue 1 fixture last weekend.
The good news for Nice is that their record in the Conference League has been in contrast with their domestic form having claimed three wins and two draws in their five matches. Didier Digard’s men have also won their last two home matches in the competition.
Although they earned a share of the spoils, Basel will be disappointed not to have built on their early opener in the first leg. Having struck first through Zeki Amdouni, they fell behind on the stroke of halftime before the Swiss attacker struck again midway through the second half.
Like Nice, Basel have not been at their best lately and are winless in their last four matches across all competitions. However, the last three fixtures in that run have ended in draws, including a 1-1 scoreline in a Super League fixture on Sunday.
Basel may be in the quarter-finals of the Conference League but they have not been particularly convincing with just two regulation time wins in the last nine matches. The major problem is a lack of defensive discipline having kept just one clean sheet in that run.
How the bookies view it
Nice have the upper hand among the bookies and are priced at 1/2 with William Hill to claim the win. A victory for Basel is valued at 13/2 by bet365 while a draw is set at odds od 3/1 by BoyleSports.

Zeki Amdouni also netted a brace in the first leg and could be worth keeping an eye on for Basel. The attacker has three goals in his last two matches and is priced at 4/1 by Unibet to get on the score sheet on Thursday.
Anything else catch the eye?
Neither side is convincing defensively and having produced over 3.5 goals in the first leg, a repeat can be considered at 12/5 with Unibet. Over 2.5 goals is priced at 9/10 by Unibet while bet365 is offering evens on both teams to score.
Nice are priced at minimal odds for a straight victory, so a win and over 2.5 goals can be considered for more value at 7/5 with bet365.
