FULHAM are finding their feet in the Premier League and will be confident of taking something from their clash at Newcastle.
It's now just one loss in four for Scott Parker's men, with last weekend's coupon-busting draw with champions Liverpool followed by another stalemate at home to Brighton in midweek.
Fulham are becoming much harder to beat and that should stand them in good stead as they battle against an instant return to the Championship,
Newcastle's recent revival came crashing to an end on Wednesday as they were thrashed 5-2 at Leeds and it's hard to know what to expect from the Magpies.
They have been so inconsistent this season, summed up by the fact their last six games have produced three wins and three defeats.
How the bookies view it
Newcastle are narrow favourites at 8/5 with most firms while Fulham are 9/5 and the draw a best 12/5 at SBK. I wouldn't be massively surprised to see a third successive stalemate for Parker's side.
Recent head to head
There has been nothing between these sides of late, with the last seven meetings producing three Fulham wins, three Newcastle victories and one stalemate.
That draw came in their last clash at St James' Park in 2018 with the Magpies then winning 4-0 in London, with Jonjo Shelvey scoring one of their goals of the season (below) with a screamer.
Players to watch
Callum Wilson has seven for the season and will be Newcastle's biggest threat again. He's 6/4 favourite in the anytime scorer market at Bet365 and 9/2 at the same firm to net first.
Chelsea loanee Ruben Loftus Cheek is benefitting from getting a run of games with Parker believing he is starting to shine. The midfielder is a tempting 9/2 with Bet365 for anytime scorer.
Anything else catch the eye?
Fulham's last three games have all produced under 2.5 goals and a repeat here pays 3/4 with McBookie. But Newcastle have scored twice in their last three games and boss Steve Bruce branded their defending amateurish in midweek. So I'm going to back over 2.5 strikes at 6/5 with Bet365.
Newcastle's Isaac Hayden has picked up four yellows in 10 games this season so it could pay to back him for another card here at 10/3 with McBookie.
William Hill are offering evens on Newcastle winning over one corner in each half and that's worth backing as they should be on the front foot.
