SPURS travel to France on Tuesday to meet Marseille in the tightest group in the Champions League with all four teams in the section still in with a chance of qualifying.
The Londoners currently lead the group on eight points, with Sporting Lisbon and Eintracht Frankfurt on seven points and OM behind them with six.
It's wide open but the permutations are that Spurs will qualify if they avoid defeat and will win the group if they get the three points. Only victory will do for Igor Tudor's side, who can still even win the group if the other game is drawn too.
It's very tight and the Stade Velodrome is not the sort of place you want to be visiting in the last game of the group when you need a result.
Spurs ended a two-game run of defeats in the Premier League with a hard-fought win at Bournemouth at the weekend. They have been too inconsistent so far this season though.
For Marseille, they've been in desperate form in Ligue 1 recently after three defeats on the bounce and they at least ended that sequence with a 2-2 draw at Strasbourg at the weekend.
How the bookies view it
Tottenham are favourites here at 11/8 with SBK. Marseille can be backed at 2/1 with William Hill and the draw is 12/5 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
Spurs were too good for the French side in London last month with a 2-0 win thanks to a double from Richarlison. That's the only meeting between the sides.
Players to watch
Former Arsenal and Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez doesn't need much introduction and he was rested at the weekend to prepare for this. The Chilean forward is 33 now, but has already scored seven goals this season and is 23/10 to net against Spurs with William Hill.
Perhaps surprisingly, Harry Kane wasn't on the scoresheet at the weekend, but the England captain is of course the man for the big occasion and is 7/5 to score with bet365 in France. He has 12 goals already this season.
Anything else catch the eye?
Spurs manager Antonio Conte will serve a touchline ban for this one after being sent to the stands, but his side should have too much for an off-form Marseille if they can keep their heads in a hostile atmosphere.
Stade Velodrome is one of the most intimidating atmospheres in Europe. However, Spurs look too classy for the hosts and should win. They daren't settle for the draw.
The hosts are not in a good place at the moment and Tottenham were denied qualification by a dodgy call last week against Sporting Lisbon. Marseille have also lost their last two home games in the league and Eintracht Frankfurt won here.
Spurs are slow starters though – they haven't scored in their last five games in the first half. Back them to score more goals in the second half than the first half at 7/5 with bet365.
