LEICESTER CITY will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they come up against Brentford at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Brendan Rodgers' side had bagged back-to-back top-flight victories for the first time since October before going down 2-0 at Arsenal last Sunday, on an afternoon where both of my bets clicked in the capital.
That defeat has left the Foxes floundering in the bottom half of the table but they have since scraped through to the last-eight of the Europa Conference League despite a 2-1 loss to Rennes on Thursday night.
Leicester now turn their attention to Sunday's Premier League clash with a Brentford side who ought to be buoyed by claiming maximum points from their last two league games.
A pair of victories over two sides currently housed in the bottom-three – Norwich and Burnley – has given the Bees some breathing space above the relegation zone.
Thomas Frank's team will be aiming to secure another priceless three points to steer themselves further clear of danger when they pitch up at the King Power this weekend.
Outright Betting
Leicester, who have won four of their last six Premier League home games, enter this contest as 11/9 (SBK) favourites.
Brentford slumped to defeat in October's reverse fixture and the bookies' odds suggest the Bees could suffer a similar fate on Sunday, with an away an unfancied 13/5 (SBK) while the draw is also deemed unlikely at 27/11 (SBK).
Betting Angles
It's difficult to be tempted about either team here but combining both teams to score and over two Leicester corners looks like an appealing alternative at 5/6 (Bet 365).
Whilst Brendan Rodgers has plenty of attacking talent at his disposal, clean sheets remain an issue, with only five Premier League teams conceding more than the Foxes thus far.
That being said, Leicester have struck at least once in 21 of their 26 top-flight assignments this term and they have the technical tools to create opportunities against a Brentford side that is not exactly renowned for being watertight.
The Bees themselves have found shutouts hard to come by this season, with Thomas Frank's team failing to keep their sheets clean in 12 of their 14 road trips this term so far.
With that in mind, coupled with the fact that BTTS has been a winning bet in 16 of Leicester's 26 Premier League games this season so far, I'm more than happy to back both teams to get in on the act at the King Power on Sunday.
To round off the Bet Builder and to nudge up the price, I'll also back the Foxes to hit a minimum of three corner kicks.
Leicester are averaging 5.15 flag kicks per-game this season, with Brendan Rodgers' crew covering the 3+ line in each of their last eight league games.
It's also worth noting that the aforementioned Bet Builder has banked in nine of Leicester's last 14 (64.28%) matches across all competitions and that only adds to the appeal of supporting the same wager this weekend.
