DUNDEE UNITED have finally started to play like champions elect in recent weeks and another win on the road at Greenock Morton would see them take a big step closer to glory in the SPFL Championship.
With a superior squad and budget to the other clubs in the second tier, the Tannadice side really should have promotion in the bag by now.
Raith Rovers have pushed them hard for most of the campaign but a 2-0 victory over Ian Murray's men at the end of last month looks like being the decisive result in their duel for the crown.
Airdrie did United a favour by beating the Kirkcaldy side 3-1 on Tuesday and that has left the leaders four points clear with just four games to go.
Dundee United crushed Queen's Park 5-0 at Hampden on Saturday and another victory in Greenock would leave them in a great position.
But Jim Goodwin's side slipped up at Dunfermline in their last Friday night fixture, busting the coupon of our man Mark, and Morton have lost just one of the three meetings so far this season.
After a stunning 16-game run earlier in the season, Dougie Imrie's men went into a slump that saw them lose five games in a row. That has damaged Greenock Morton's hopes of making the promotion play-offs but a win over the league leaders could spark a late push for the top four.
How the bookies view it
With Dundee United flying again and Morton in poor form, I'm surprised to see the leaders as big as evens with Bet365 and that looks pretty good value. Greenock Morton's best price is 29/10 at BetVictor while the draw pays 5/2 at Betfair.
Recent head to head
It has been honours even so far this season, with one win apiece and a draw. Greenock Morton claimed a shock 3-2 win at Tannadice but Dundee United got their revenge with a 1-0 win at Cappielow last month.
Players to watch
There hasn't been a lot of good news for Morton in recent weeks but the return from injury of striker George Oakley is a positive. He scored a hat-trick in that Tannadice victory earlier in the season and is 12/5 with Bet365 for anytime scorer.
Louis Moult scored Dundee United's winner last time out at Cappielow and also netted at the weekend to take his tally to 18 for the season. The former Motherwell hero is 21/10 at Bet365 for a goal and that looks a little overpriced.
Anything else catch the eye?
Greenock Morton drew four successive blanks at Cappielow before getting back on track with a 2-0 win over Queen's Park in their last home game. Dundee United have kept clean sheets in their last two so it could pay to bet against BTTS at 17/20 with McBookie.
Dundee United are usually good value for corners but we only saw two when they last came to Cappielow. That stat suggests betting against corners could also pay off but I've yet to see any prices for that market.
