Celtic always generate plenty of interest when they pitch up in Ireland and there could be a crowd of 45,000 for the inaugural Cork Super Cup.
Brendan Rodgers' side ended last season on a downer when they lost in the Scottish Cup Final to Aberdeen, with our man Mark one of many who had their coupon busted by the Dons' shock shoot-out win.
That stopped the Hoops from racking up another Treble but they will be desperate to start the new season with a bang, given rivals Rangers are in the process of rebuilding under new owners.
Celtic were relentless in last summer's friendlies, with wins over Premier League giants Manchester City and Chelsea setting the tone for a storming start to their domestic campaign.
This match with Cork City at GAA stadium Pairc Ui Chaoimh is their second warm-up game after Friday's 1-0 win over Queen's Park and Rodgers will be out to put on a show for the club's Irish fans.
Cork City will be glad to take a break from their harrowing League of Ireland campaign, with Ger Nash's side propping up the table and set for a quick return to the second tier.
They're on a 12-game run without a win so it would be a timely confidence boost if they could land a few blows on the Scottish champions.
How the bookies view it: No odds available yet
The bookies have yet to price up this friendly. We will keep an eye out and provide an update when some odds land.
Head to head: A Class of 91 repeat?
Cork will be out to repeat their famous 1991 friendly win over Celtic, although the Hoops were in a sorry state at that time. The Parkhead giants have since racked up two friendly wins over Cork, the latest coming in 2013.
Players to watch: Adam a homecoming hero
Rodgers revealed on Friday that most of his returning international players will sit this game out. But Adam Idah will be desperate to play in his home city and the Ireland striker could get a run-out. He will be desperate to mark his return with a goal.
Celtic have been linked with Cork winger Cathal O’Sullivan so the 19-year-old will be out to catch their eye in this clash. He could be worth a punt for a goal with the Hoops fielding some youngsters at the back.
Probable line-ups
The only first-team Celtic players who featured against Queen's Park were Auston Trusty, Calllum McGregor, Arne Engels, Luke McCowan and Jonny Kenny. Expect another mixture of kids and experienced players for the Hoops. Cork are back in league action on Friday night so boss Nash may be tempted to make a few changes.
Cork City: Troost, Lyons, Crowley, Fitzpatrick, Kiernan, Anderson, Bolger, McLaughlin, Murray, O'Sullivan, Maguire.
Celtic: Doohan, Donovan, Trusty, Welsh, Montgomery, Engels, McCowan, McGregor, Turley, Turley, Idah.
Anything else catch the eye?
Friendlies can often be a damp squib but with a big crowd expected for this one, it should bring the best out of both teams. Celtic will be out to put on a show, so I fancy a Hoops win with over 3.5 goals.
Rodgers fielded completely different teams in both halves against Queen's Park and I'd imagine he will make plenty of changes again after the break in this game. That could see the intensity drop so try backing most goals to come in the first period.
Cork are in dismal domestic form but they could get a bit of joy against a Celtic defence missing most of their big hitters. That makes BTTS appealing and combining it with over 2.5 goals will boost the odds.
