CHELSEA'S best run of form this season has come at a time of unprecedented upheaval off the field and they will be confident of making it seven victories in a row when Brentford come calling in the Premier League.
Thomas Tuchel's men have kept focused on football since government sanctions forced Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich to put the club up for sale, claiming win after win.
But the fixture list has been kind during that run, with the Blues heavy favourites each time against Luton, Burnley, Norwich, Newcastle, Lille and Middlesbrough. It ended 2-0 to Chelsea in their last outing in the FA Cup at the Riverside, with our man Mark seeing both his recommended bets land.
This is another game they are expected to win pretty comfortably before the acid test comes against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals next week.
Brentford ended their slump with two wins in three games before the international break and that has left them eight points clear of the drop zone.
Thomas Frank won't be able to relax before he has banked a few more points but it would be a big surprise if his side took anything home from Stamford Bridge in this West London derby.
How the bookies view it
Brentford have been written off and are as big as 10/1 with SBK for a win at Stamford Bridge. Even the draw pays 43/10 with the same firm while Chelsea's best price is just 4/11 at Ladbrokes.
Recent head to head
Chelsea have beaten Brentford twice already this season, winning 1-0 away from home in the league (below) then 2-0 on the road in the League Cup. The last two Stamford Bridge meetings ended in 4-0 FA Cup wins for the Blues in 2017 and 2013.
Players to watch
Team selections after an international break can be unpredictable, with fatigue taking a toll on some players after long trips. But Romelu Lukaku was rested by Belgium and could start for Chelsea after netting last time out at Brentford. The record signing is 7/5 at Unibet for anytime scorer and that's decent value if he gets the nod.
It's hard to look past Ivan Toney for a Brentford goal with the striker netting eight times in his last seven games. He's 17/5 with Unibet for anytime scorer which looks a bit overpriced on current form, although Chelsea's defence is now back to it best.
Anything else catch the eye?
Backing Chelsea for a win to nil appeals at 21/20 with BetVictor as it has come up in the last four meetings of these sides. I also fancy them to be winning at half-time and full-time which is available at the same odds with Bet365.
Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard has fallen foul of refs a few times this season, picking up nine yellows. The Dane is 5/2 with Unibet for another card here which looks good value.
