Cape Verde failed to build on their opening day win as they lost 1-0 to Burkina Faso in their second Group A fixture. Despite seeing more of the possession, they failed to create too many clear-cut opportunities and finished with just two attempts on target.

The result meant Cameroon became the first team to progress to the round of 16 of the competition. In a tournament filled with low scoring games, the Indomitable Lions have also looked imperious in attack, scoring six goals in their two matches.
Manager Antonio Conceicao will be keen to continue that winning run which has now stretched to six matches across all competitions and maintain their momentum ahead of the round of 16. However, he is expected to ring in the changes for Monday’s clash with Aboubakar likely to be rested while Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting could start in attack.
