Cambridge United start their League Two campaign with a visit from Cheltenham Town.
The U's were relegated last season after manager Neil Harris couldn't keep them up in his second spell at the club.
He's brought in eight players so far this summer, including the likes of former Aberdeen and Rangers star Dom Ball, ex-Ipswich Town ace Shane McLoughlin and Congo international Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu, who made over 400 appearances for Luton Town.
They had a decent pre-season, apart from a 5-1 mauling from Cardiff City, but perhaps surprisingly for a relegated team, they are not among the pre-season favourites to win the league and you can get 20/1 for them to do that with Boylesports.
Cheltenham finished 15th last season and under manager Michael Flynn, they are very much viewed as outsiders to challenge, with Boylesports offering 50/1 for a shock success. Avoiding relegation trouble will be their focus, you would expect.
But they've done well in pre-season after a creditable draw against Swansea City and a win over Cardiff City. Cheltenham have had a quiet transfer window this summer and have brought in only four players to Whaddon Road.
How the bookies view it: Cheltenham not at the races
Bookies make Cambridge United solid favourites for the first league game of the season.
Boylesports make the hosts odds-on favourites at 4/5 to get the three points, with Cheltenham outsiders at 3/1. The draw is 5/2 with the same firm.
Head to head: Cheltenham's Indian sign on U's.
The sides did actually meet last season, despite being in different leagues, with Cheltenham coming on top in a Football League Trophy encounter.
And Cheltenham have a terrific recent record against Cambridge because that last meeting was their fifth win in a row. Cambridge have failed to beat Cheltenham at home for seven years now.
Players to watch: Shayn to strike?
Shayne Lavery netted five goals for Cambridge in just ten starts in League One last term. The Northern Ireland international striker is 13/8 to score anytime with bet365.
Jordan Thomas was on fine form for Cheltenham last term and helped himself to three goals in his last five games. He's been linked to bigger clubs, but should play. He is 4/1 to score anytime with Betfred.
Predicted line-ups
Cambridge could be ready to introduce the latest of their summer signings, Shane McLoughlin, into their line-up for the opener.
Cambridge United: Eastwood, Bennett, Morrison, Watts, Purrington, Brophy, Ball, McLoughlin, Kaikai, Knight, Loft.
Cheltenham Town: Day, Power, Bennett, Cundy, Anderson, Young, Kinsella, Broom, Pell, Archer, Thomas.
Anything else catch the eye?
You wouldn't want to be backing any odds-on shots at this stage of the season, especially a Cambridge side who have plenty of questions to be asked about their firepower.
And it wouldn't be a surprise if a well-organised Cheltenham side walked away from the Abbey Stadium with a point, and that is the call here.
Cheltenham held Championship side Bristol City to a goalless draw on their last pre-season outing, and this could be a tight game too. Back under 2.5 goals at 20/21 with Boylesports.
