Bayern Munich fired out a warning to their Bundesliga rivals by thrashing RB Leipzig 6-0 last week and the champions will be confident of making it two wins from two when they travel to Augsburg.
Normal service was resumed in Germany's top flight last term as Vincent Kompany's side snatched the league crown back from Bayer Leverkusen, winning by a 13-point margin.
The bookies have made them heavy favourites to top the pile once more and it's hard to disagree after Bayern followed up a 2-1 win over Stuttgart in the Super Cup with that rout of Leipzig.
Kompany's side now face Augsburg and they shouldn't have too much trouble seeing off a side who finished 12th in the Bundesliga last season.
But Augsburg have made an excellent start to the season, with a DFB Pokal win over minnows Hallescher followed by a surprise 3-1 victory at Freiburg.
With Frieburg coming with a whisker of securing Champions League football last term, nobody gave Augsburg much of a chance last weekend but they were 3-0 up at half-time.
Now they need to upset even bigger odds as the champions come to town looking to rack up another three points.
How the bookies view it: Bayern juggernaut to keep on rolling
After such an impressive Bundesliga opener, Bayern Munich are just 1/4 at BoyleSports for another win. Augsburg are a whopping 11/1 and even the draw is pretty big at 5/1.
Recent head to head: Joy of six for champions
Bayern Munich have won their last six games against Augsburg and have scored at least three times in all those matches. A 3-0 stroll at the Allianz Arena last term was followed by a 3-1 victory in Augsburg.
Players to watch: Harry's helping hand
Harry Kane helped deliver a winning bet for Slips Tips last weekend as he scored a treble against Augsburg. The England striker doesn't offer much value for a goal here at a best 8/15 with Betfred but I like the 3/1 on offer at Bet365 for him to provide an assist.
Robin Fellhauer earned a summer move to Augsburg after scoring six times from midfield for second-tier Elversberg last term. He looks overpriced at 14/1 with Betfred for a goal here while Bet365 price him at 11/4 just to have an effort on target.
Probable line-ups
Kompany should revert to his strongest line-up after making a few changes for the midweek cup tie with Wehen-Wiesbaden. Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies remain long-term absentees.
Striker Samuel Essende is still suspended for Augsburg while Maximilian Bauer and Alexis Claude-Maurice are injury doubts.
Augsburg: Dahmen, Matsima, Gouweleeuw, Schlotterbeck, Massengo, Giannoulis, Fellhauer, Wolf, Jakic, Saad, Komur.
Bayern Munich: Neuer, Upamecano, Tah, Laimer, Stanisic, Kimmich, Gnabry, Goretzka, Diaz, Olise, Kane.
Anything else catch the eye?
With Bayern scoring six last weekend and netting three or more goals in their last six meetings with Augsburg, it bodes well for plenty of action. Combining a win for the champions with over 3.5 goals pays 11/10 at BoyleSports and that looks decent value.
Although Augsburg have been leaking goals against Bayern, they've also scored in five of the last six meetings. With Sandro Wagner's side netting three times on the road at Freiburg last week, BTTS stands a chance here but it pays just 8/13 at BoyleSports. Adding on over 2.5 goals boosts the odds to 20/23.
