Prior to that, however, Atletico had prevailed three times in succession, conceding just once goal in the process, yet you have to go back to 2021 for the last time that there were fewer than two goals in this fixture.
There has not been a draw between these two teams since December 2020, a period spanning eight games.
Players to watch: Rony the best of a limited bunch
When only one of Atletico's players has scored more than one goal in the Brasileiro this season, they are limited on players to watch in the final third.
Rony has started every game and netted three times, including last time out against Ceara. Veteran forward Hulk was introduced at half time, but the 38-year-old has now failed to score in six games.
Another veteran in Alan Patrick is the one to watch in Internacional's squad. The 34-year-old has two goals and four assists from his eight starts in the league, albeit still only scoring twice from his last nine games in all competitions.

With Lyanco having been sent off for the second time this season in the closing stages at Ceara, Cucu must decide how to replace the centre-back. Romulo could be drafted into the back three if Cuca retains the same formation, while Hulk is an option in attack if he switches to a back four.
Meanwhile, Fernando faces missing out for Internacional after the 37-year-old midfielder was withdrawn after 20 minutes versus Fluminense. Thiago Maia was his replacement on that occasion and looks in line to start. Bruno Tabata, Gustavo Prado and Lucca are also in contention to return in the final third.
