ARSENAL welcome Lens to London this week with revenge on their minds as they close in on what looks like inevitable qualification.
It will be job done with one game to spare for the Gunners if they defeat the French side at the Emirates on Wednesday.
But their one blot on their copybook was a surprise defeat to Lens in France and they will go into this confidence full of confidence after that last gasp win at Brentford at the weekend.
Mikel Arteta's side were a long way from their best but a late goal was met with huge celebrations after title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool drew earlier.
But Lens will feel good about themselves too after they followed up a win against Marseille with a 3-0 breeze against Clermont at the weekend.
They are currently in sixth place in Ligue 1 and take impressively claim to have only suffered one loss in their last 12 games in all competitions.
They are level on points with PSV Eindhoven and three ahead of a disappointing Sevilla side so Wednesday is a huge game for them.
How the bookies view it
Arsenal are very warm favourites here at 1/4 in most places although Coral stick their necks out at 3/10.
The French side are 19/2 with UniBet and the draw is 5/1 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
As mentioned the Gunners crashed to a shock defeat in France when they met in October in a 2-1 loss. That levelled the series between the clubs at two wins apiece and a draw after five meetings.
Players to watch
Kai Havertz was the Arsenal hero at Brentford with that late header securing all three points and the German ace is 2/1 to repeat his heroics with another goal in London in midweek.
Lens'goal threat could come from Adrien Thomasson. He scored in the first game against the Gunners and also netted in the weekend romp at Clermont. He is a big price at 11/1 with UniBet to score anytime.
Anything else catch the eye?
Goals are often at a premium when Lens play as their recent games show. That 3–0 weekend win was just the second time in eight games since they played Arsenal that they have been involved in an over 2.5 goals game.
The hosts of course love a 1-0 to the Arsenal scoreline, as they managed at the weekend. Go for under 2.5 goals and a home win at a chunky 3-1 with bet365.
And the old favourite of an Arsenal win to nil could well come up here at 13/10 with Paddy Power.
