Brentford have a decent recent record in the EFL Cup but they face a tricky first hurdle in this year's tournament as they travel to Bournemouth for an all-Premier League second round tie.
The Bees reached two quarter-finals and a semi under old boss Thomas Frank and successor Keith Andrews will be looking to go on another good run.
The former Ireland midfielder started his reign with a disappointing 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest but bounced back with a 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.
Slips Tips fancied Villa to score a few goals in that game but Andrews saw his side claim a clean sheet and that will be a big boost to their confidence,
Brentford will certainly need to be at their best to see off a Bournemouth side who are looking to make further progress under Andoni Iraola.
Despite losing a host of key players this summer, the Cherries gave champions Liverpool a scare on day one before eventually falling to a 4-2 defeat.
They followed that up by grinding out a 1-0 win over Wolves on Saturday, with two tips landing for the Betting Desk in a story game.
Bournemouth reached the FA Cup quarter-finals last term and will see the EFL Cup as a chance to make a trip to Wembley in the new campaign.
How the bookies view it: Cherries on top
Bournemouth have been pretty strong at home under Iraola and they're 20/23 favourites with BoyleSports for a win in 90 minutes. Brentford are 3/1 and the draw pays 13/5.
Recent head to head: Bees sting
Brentford have been a bogey team for AFC Bournemouth of late, going seven games without defeat in this fixture. Five of those matches ended in wins, including home and away victories in the Premier League last term.
Players to watch: Return of Dango
Brentford paid a club-record £42.5 million to sign Dango Outtara from Bournemouth and he scored the winner on his debut at the weekend. The forward will be out to show his old team what they're missing and looks a little overpriced at 3/1 with Bet365 for anytime scorer.
Cherries new boy Amine Adli got a debut of the bench on Saturday after his move from Leverkusen. The winger could start in this cup tie and he's 9/4 at Bet365 to get off the mark.
Probable line-ups
Premier League managers often make a lot of changes for the League Cup so I'd imagine we'll see different line-ups to the weekend. Ryan Christie, Justin Kluivert and Ben Doak could make their first starts this term for Bournemouth while Frank Onyeka, Aaron Hickey and Kris Ajer may come in for the Bees.
AFC Bournemouth: Petrovic, Truffert, Araujo, Smith, Diakite, Christie, Adams, Adli, Kluivert, Doak, Evanilson.
Brentford: Kelleher, Ajer, Collins, Lewis-Potter, Hickey, Jensen, Schade, Onyeka, Ouattara, Damsgaard, Carvalho.
Anything else catch the eye?
If both managers do make a lot of changes it could lead to this game becoming a bit ragged. So I'm going to take a punt on a lack of goals, with under 2.5 strikes paying a decent 5/4 at BoyleSports. Betting against BTTS also appeals at 11/8.
There's not a great deal between these sides in terms of quality so it should be a close game. The half-time draw pays 5/4 at BoyleSports and is another bet worth considering.
