AC Milan are looking to snap out of their poor run as they host Torino in a Friday night Serie A fixture. The Turin club have been the draw experts in recent weeks and given their recent record against Milan, another stalemate could be on the cards.
There appears to be on end in sight to AC Milan’s recent slump as they were beaten 1-0 by Inter Milan in their previous Serie A fixture. It was yet another disappointing outing as Stefano Pioli’s men were poor throughout and failed to muster a single attempt on target.
The result means AC Milan are now winless in their last seven matches across all competitions, suffering five defeats in that run. Sitting sixth on the standings, 18 points off the pace, their title defence is all but over at the moment while they also need an urgent turnaround in fortunes to revive their top four hopes.
One of the problems for AC Milan is a lack of cutting edge in attack as evidenced by their performance in the derby where they finished without a single attempt on target. They have failed to score in three of their last four matches, with the likes of Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao looking out of sorts.
Torino were victorious in their previous Serie A fixture as they picked up a 1-0 home win over Udinese. It was a closely fought encounter with Yann Karamoh’s effort just after the restart proving the difference.
The Turin club have been plagued by inconsistency for much of the campaign and head to Milan with just two wins from their last five matches across all competitions. They will be keen to play themselves into European competition but are currently eight points off the top six.
Torino have looked decent on their recent travels with just one defeat in their last six Serie A away matches. However, three of the last four matches in that run have ended in draws, including a 2-2 scoreline last time out at Empoli.

Despite their recent problems, AC Milan are still considered overwhelming favourites among the bookies with a win priced at 7/8 by SBK. A victory for Torino is valued at 15/4 by BetVictor while a draw is set at odds of 13/5 by bet365.

AC Milan have a 24-5 advantage with 19 draws from 46 previous matches with Torino. However, the Turin club are unbeaten in the last three meetings and won 2-1 in the reverse fixture before claiming a 1-0 extra-time win in the Coppa Italia in January following a goalless draw after 90 minutes.
Players to watch
While AC Milan will be keen to sort out their recent goalscoring problems, a more pressing issue appears to be their leaky defence that has conceded 15 goals in the last five matches. They will be desperate for a rare clean sheet and will be looking to the likes of Pierre Kalulu and Simon Kjaer to help them to it at 11/8 with bet365.
Torino have also not been overly prolific in attack but have looked more organised at the back, keeping clean sheets in two of their last three Serie A matches. Perr Schuurs and Koffi Djidji are expected to continue their defensive partnership and can lead the visitors to another clean sheet at 7/2 with Coral.
