Our golf expert The Caddy once again proved he's one of the best golf tipsters in the business with an incredible 150/1 winning tip at the RBC Heritage, South Carolina, in the shape of 47-year-old Stewart Cink.
Winner of the The Open in 2009, Cink had to wait another 11 years before he'd win on the PGA Tour again, picking up the Safeway Open in September 2020. He didn't have quite so long to wait for his next piece of sliverware and The Caddy has clearly paid close attention to recent form which included T12 finish at Augusta last weekend.
“It’s not just his Masters form I’m looking at, the week before he finished inside the Top 20 at the Honda Classic finishing 19th. The American was also 19th at the Sony Open in Hawaii and 4th at the Bermuda Championship, even more reason to suggest he could be hitting a rich vein of form. The firms may have overlooked this when pricing the markets.”
With his son on the bag, Cink duly delivered and his five-stroke lead going in to the final round was more than enough for him to see it out, eventually finishing four clear of Emiliano Grillo and Harold Varner III on -19 to claim golf's “Tartan Jacket”.
Not content with that huge-priced winner The Caddy also added Matt Fitzpatrick (30/1) who also finished in the money T4. Irishman Shane Lowry (55/1) wasn't too far away either with a T9 finish on -11.
Meanwhile on the European Tour The Caddy also scored with 55/1 shot Wil Besseling claiming a T4 finish at the Austrian Open.
Well done The Caddy!
