Indiana Pacers v OKC Thunder

With a 2-1 lead over Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2025 NBA Finals, Indiana Pacers are on a great track to cause one of the biggest upsets in the NBA playoffs in a long time and Game 4 which they'll host might prove to be crucial for the outcome of the entire series.

Game 4 is scheduled for 1:30 am on the night between Friday and Saturday.

So, let's take a better look at this game and what we can expect from it.

Indiana Pacers to win on moneyline

The Pacers have already proven that they are rightfully in the NBA Finals this season and they are in a better position than the OKC Thunder right now since they have the lead in the series. If they can win Game 4 at home, they will extend that lead to 3-1, coming within one win of becoming the NBA champions for the first time in the franchise's history.

I feel like I've seen enough from the Pacers these playoffs to trust them that they can achieve this and this bet might be driven by bias a little bit since Indiana have my sympathies in these Finals, but I do expect them to win Game 4.

Tyrese Haliburton over 17.5 total points

This was the only prediction that I guessed right in my Game 3 preview, which wasn't great, but it is the reason to stick with it for Game 4. After all, Haliburton had the best game of the finals a few nights ago, falling short of a triple-double by just one rebound.

Haliburton had 22 points in Game 3 at 9/17 shooting and if he wants to lead his Pacers to perhaps a crucial win, he will have to be at a similar level tonight as well.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over 33.5 total points

With just 24 points on 9/20 shooting, Gilgeous-Alexander had the worst scoring night of the NBA Finals. In fact, his lowest scoring output in the first two games was 34 points, so he's gone over the line above in both and I can see him bouncing back in Game 4 and scoring 34 or more points.

Pacers vs Thunder preview – teams news, injuries, and predicted lineups

Indiana Pacers preview and latest news

Despite losing Game 2 in a convincing fashion, the Pacers got what they wanted by stealing Game 1 from the Thunder and they managed to build on this with an impressive showing in Game 3. While the two teams were close going into the fourth quarter, with OKC leading by five points, once again the Pacers exploded in the final quarter of the game and ended up winning by nine.

This has been a recurring theme for Indiana in these playoffs, who have a deep bench and, apparently, a clutch gene, led by Haliburton who had multiple go-ahead or tying shots in the final seconds of multiple games in the 2025 playoffs.

The Pacers remain without injured Jarace Walker and Isaiah Jackson.

  • Regular season record: 50-32
  • Playoff record: 15-5

Pacers starting lineup: Haliburton, Nembhard, Nesmith, Siakam, Turner

OKC Thunder preview and latest news

The Thunder responded to the shocking Game 1 loss in a great fashion, with a convincing win in Game 2, but they once again fell short to the Pacers in the deciding fourth quarter in Game 3, which they lost by 14 points.

OKC clearly have the quality to get back into this series and steal the next game in Indiana, the same way they've done it against the Nuggets in the Western Conference semi-finals, but the fourth-quarter woes will have to be addressed for that to happen since it's unlikely that the Thunder can blow out the Pacers in Indiana.

  • Regular season record: 68-14
  • Playoff record: 13-7

Thunder starting lineup: Gilgeous-Alexander, Wallace, Dort, Williams, Holmgren
