IT was a quiet Tuesday night on the football front but well done to all the winners.

HullShaker led the way as usual and but Greg's tip from Estonia was a loser.

Tuesday was a no bet for me but I've picked out a double for tonight.

The main game that attracts my attention is the Europa League play-off final in Belgium between Zulte and Lokeren. Zulte won nine in a row to top their section, scoring 33 goals, while Lokeren won six and drew three of their 10 games. In regular season both won the away meeting so while Zulte are in great form they can't under-estimate a side that stepped up in the play-offs.

Zulte netted 2+ in all nine of those wins and goals could be the way to go. I expect the home side to win but taking over 2.5 match goals.

In France there is a promotion/relegation play-off between Ajaccio and Toulouse and while the Ligue 1 side should come out on top the first leg is likely to be tight. This has now been moved to Marseille after trouble in Ajaccio's semi-final defeat of Le Havre and that plays into Toulouse's hands even more.

They haven't lost to Ajaccio for six years and on their last three visits won two and drew one, scoring seven goals. Back Toulouse draw no bet.

There are three games in Sweden's top flight and there should be home wins for Norrkoping against Sundsvall and Ostersunds v Sirius.

Couple of tips I posted yesterday
Nap and NB both won. Posted at Evens and 5/2. Hope someone followed them

BTTS Grenoble Single (got 11/10 at PP) *WON
BTTS Grenoble and Fortaleza to win 5/2 Double *WON
Hopefully post something for today later on

    (Post from yesterday)
Not much on today but two catch my eye.

Over in France there is a promotion/relegation playoff to get into or stay in Ligue 2.
Grenoble at home first leg trying to go up. They blew it on the last day of the regular season, so have to go through the play off route.
Bourg Peronnas conceded a bucketful towards the end of the season so hopefully they concede here too. Grenoble shipped 3 in their last game so I’m going for
    Nap
    Btts evens
    Grenoble Foot v Bourg Peronnas

Can double the above up with a win for Fortaleza in Brazil’s Serie B. Fortaleza sit top on a run of 6 unbeaten, winning 5 of those.
Criciuma have lost their last 5 away games and have only 3 wins in their last 21 Serie B matches.
    NB
    BTTS Grenoble Evens
    Fortaleza win 1/2
    5/2 double

And I hope Madrid are at the top of the surprised list. They’ve been hateful about it calling it the easiest final etc. Going into the semis we were the best team on paper and only their name or image can scare our players. If we play the way we did in the 1st half of 1st leg against City or against Roma we will embarrass them

    • Avatar of mark edley
      maccathered 7 years ago

You got it jfk they are to be feared in name only mate,Liverpool will respect them it would be silly not to but they have to respect us also, believe me Spanish sides fear the English teams wether they show it or not they will be scared. The last time we went to Madrid they had a big banner welcoming us saying great clubs have great fans,Ramos is old and the last time Salah came up against Marcelo lets just say Marcelo didn’t enjoy it.Hopefully our pace will kill them but they have plenty also so we need to be on our game. The bookies don’t know either 6/5 for Madrid to win says Liverpool are being respected here, the 2/1 on Liverpool is to try and edge people to Back Madrid,if anyone can take the european cup away from them it’s Liverpool, notice it’s them that are giving it the pre match talk, nothing from Liverpool. This should be one of the highest scoring champions league finals ever.

Great doc that jimba. Nine hour round trip to play footie when young. That’s dedication and determination. Think he’s being lined up as the next global superstar, particularly from the Muslim angle. Problem for LFC is that the media will stoke the fires for him to get the big moves to Madrid or Barca.

Please take note regarding the Ajaccio / Toulouse game. The game is being played “behind closed doors” at Montpellier. This followed trouble in the playoff on Friday between Ajaccio & Le Havre where there was a lot of crowd aggro following a fractious match which Ajaccio won on pens & where BOTH teams had 2 players sent off.
Would be siding with Toulouse in a low scoring affair.

Have been looking at corners tonight @bullseye for these play offs and I seen you mention one these Italian teams before. Lines quite generous again and have seen them rack up 6/7 before half time easily before. I’ll narrow my selection down before post but glad to see your on one of the games.

    • Avatar of Bullseye
      bullseye 7 years ago

Yeah the stats for the Pisa game are exceptionally strong. They’ve played 3 times this season (including the first leg on Sunday) and all 3 went comfortably over five corners in the first half. The first leg at Viterbese saw 8 at HT (1-7 to Pisa) and they also had more dangerous attacks in the 90 mins (48-70) Being 1-0 down in the tie with the match at their gaff tonight you’d have to expect Pisa to put Viterbese under siege from the off and the corners to flood in again. Agree with you that the lines are generous considering these are 2nd legs and the 20/21 with Bet365 is a great price when really it should be more around the 7/10 mark.

    • Avatar of Liam Whittles
      liamw 7 years ago

Pisa went 3-1 down, and race to 9 corners was 13/8 with them sat on 5 at the time….about to put it on and they grabbed the next before I could press the button, never mind post it on here! Thanks for pointing them out Bully, certainly one to look out for!

Afternoon gents and cheers Mr F – been a decent run of late and looking to keep it going with a blend of Icelandic/NILF action this evening…

    GRINDAVÍK VS. VALUR (2015 KO):

The bookies have Valur clear favourites here but that’s purely based on last year’s cracking campaign – Grindavik are a whopping 15/4 to win and that’s just too big althougb it’s not a bet I’ll take on.

The hosts have actually had the better start and 4 games in they sit 3rd with 3 points comprising 2 wins 1 loss and 1 draw as opposed to Valur’s 3 draws and 1 win.

With 35 team goals in their last successive 15 games in 2018, a Valur brace tempts at 4/6 but I’m thinking there may just be better value to be had inthe cornr markets.

Valur love to rack them up and I’ve a sneaking suspicion that Grindavik will have plenty of attacking possession and play their own part:

    OVER 11 CORNERS…11/10
    ???

    Best of luck ?

I just can’t keep my (betting) hands off those NILFs and with 3 games tonight, I’ve had a good look and fancy this one for goals:

GLENTORAN BU VS. DERRY CITY (2000 KO):

Glentoran have got off to a rocky start with 2 draws and a loss but ought to get back on track against a recently promoted Derry side who are 2nd bottom only to a poorly Portadown side.

Derry were involved in some monstrous scotelines last year (10-2, 8-1, 1-6, 3-4, etc) as part og their promotion campaign but have found life hard in the ‘Prem’ with 0-5, 3-0 and 0-7 losses to date.

Historically, Glentoran hold the bragging rights with successive wins; 3-1, 2-4, 0-9 and 5-1 being the scorelines. With 10 og their last 16 games seeing between 5 and 8 goals, I can’t see this being a 0-0:

The third and final match sees me
dropping down the Icelandic footballing pyramid into the 4 Deild where my expectations of goals have been met thus far!

Group A kicks into gear later with an interesting card and I’ve picked out this one which sees the hosts start life in the melting pot after their relegation from 3 Dield last season…

    BERSERKIR VS. STÁL-ÚLFUR (2130 KO):

Berserkir were ripped apart at the end of the last campaign/subsequent cup games and match goals in games reflectes this with the last 14 seeing 6-6-3-6-10-5-7-5-3-11-1-6-4 goals.

Stal-ulfer themselves are no strangers to goals with 2-4-4-6-7-6-4-3-2-3-2-3-6-2-6-6-2-6-8-7-4-7-8-13-5 match goals in competetive games spanning thr last 18 months.

This could well make for an intriguing match-up and with goals never far away for either side, I’m taking the goal line:

Slim pickings today gents. IK Brage head to Frej in the Swedish Superettan, with the home side picking up their first win last time out. Much tougher opponents in Brage who have scored five goals over their last two, unbeaten on the road this season.

Can’t pick a winner but I like Brage to grab an early(ish) goal, and it’s decent value on the first half.

    IK Brage 1st Half Goal @ 5/6 @ 365 – 3 points

Hi Guys, Was wondering if anyone can explain to me why Luftitare Gjirokaster, from the Albanian Super League, are priced up at 11/2, with Bet365, to beat bottom of the league KS Lushnja. Luft need a win to confirm Europa League football next season, KS are bottom of the league on 11 points from 35 games. KS Lushnja last 12 games have shown 11 losses 1 draw whilst Luftitare’s form over last 12 games isn’t to shabby with 6 wins 4 draws and 2 defeats, 1 to runaway leaders Skenderbeu and other to Partizani Tirana. Thanks in anticipation of your help.

Slutsk are 19/10 to beat Dinamo Brest and I’m not sure why. 5 points ahead of Brest and haven’t conceded a goal against them in last 3 H2H.
Brest may have been unbeaten in 20/24 league games but Slutsk unbeaten in last 7/8 games. Could play it safer and go for double chance on Slutsk at 1/2.

Ceara game – Over 2.5 gls & over 10.0 asian corners
Cerro Porteno to score 2+ & over 9.0 asian corners

    4fold pays 13/2+
