EVERTON landed my Sunday-Monday Top Treble but my 1pt gamble on Wayne Rooney to score first was a loser.
The treble was Juventus, Barcelona -2AH and Everton who beat Swansea 3-1 after trailing 1-0.
That paid 17-10 but my Monday treble on was a sore loser. Lens and Porto -1 came up but there was a surprising shortage of goals at Jong Ajax v Den Bosch.
Well done to all the winners and while I was away all day there seemed to be many.
On Tuesday we have the first of the Carabao Cup quarter-finals with Arsenal at home to West Ham and Leicester entertaining Man City. You have to fancy the favourites but team news is key.
Arsenal face Liverpool on Friday and while Arsene Wenger will keen to win one of the cups that's a bigger game in context of Champions League places. He'll likely rest most of his top man but the Hammers too are more focused on the league.
Davie Moyes has revitalised them in the same way Sam Allardyce has transformed Everton and while he says a cup win would be brilliant he would prefer three points from the next league outing. However, his squad isn't the deepest and he may make only two or three changes. Joe Hart is a confirmed starter and Manuel Lanzini is banned.
Man City's squad is bulging with talent so while Pep Guardiola will make many changes his line-up should be strong enough t take care care of a Leicester team that will also be rotated.
There are Italian, German, Spanish and Dutch Cup games where again team news is vital.
My Super Single is Livingston to beat Falkirk in the Scottish Championship. Livi have lost just once in six and that was to leaders St Mirren while Falkirk have lost three out of four without scoring and in fact they have won only one Championship match this season.
After winning promotion last season Livi sit in the play-offs after a good campaign and at just over evens look a decent bet to beat the struggling Bairns. This was 11-8 last night but now a best evens with William Hill.
My only other bet tonight is a Top Treble on Stenhousemuir, who have won their last three away, at League 2 basement boys Cowdenbeath as well as both to score at Stranraer v Albion Rovers. The last three away for Rovers have featured 16 goals with btts & over 3.5 goals in all of them.
I've mainly avoided the cup games because without seeing line-ups it's risky. Man City, Schalke and Napoli is a treble I'd take if they were fielding string sides. To complete the treble I'm adding Wolfsburg draw no bet in the German Cup at Nuremberg. By all accounts Wolfsburg are fielding a strong side so should win.
