Later armchair fans are treated to Man United v Newcastle and the possible comebacks of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
In between Man City aim to extend their unbeaten start at Leicester, Liverpool tackle Southampton and Chelsea travel to West Brom.
The William Hill Scottish Cup is prominent in Scotland but there are five Premiership matches and the top four – Celtic, Aberdeen, Rangers and Hibs – look good for wins.

Last 2 days have been so-so for me. We only have the one game in the A-League today, due to the postponement of the Wanderers match.
Sydney FC v Newcastle Jets:
The top two sides in the competition face off today in what should be a tough encounter. Both teams have a few absentees, but all have been long term ones, with the exception of Jets backup keeper Moss, who’s on international duty.
Sydney have been consistent all season, looking to defend their title. Their defense is not what it was, but their attack has looked solid. However their looked utterly terrible last round, slumping to a surprise 2-0 defeat to the Mariners.
Jets have looked great all season thus far, winning 4 games and drawing 2. Their defense is decent, but their attack is on fire, with O’Donovan, Petratos and Nabbout all regular contributors.
I really have no idea who will this one. It could be a score draw, Jets could nick it, or Sydney could show their dominance of old and pull out a win. Both defenses are susceptible and with the attacking prowess on show, I do expect goals though.
The bookies clearly think Sydney will dominate and not concede, and I feel that the “score before market” for the Jets is just plain wrong. Equally the team cards line on Sydney is ridiculously low, considering how many cards they tend to pick up per game. Bobo himself is always often good for a card.

This is kinda a bit bold but i’m putting these 3 picks up with a very brief summary, apologies if my info is duff but i’m going from memory ( before the pointless international break ).
Birmingham to beat Forest , they’re 13/8 with betfair. Birmingham have had a bit of a resurgence of late and Forest have been a bit patchy, especially on the road.
Reading to beat Wolves at 18/5 with betfair. Reading tore my beloved Derby a new one 2 weeks back. We started the match without Ledley and Huddlestone had nobody to mop up his mistakes and Reading punished us. We also lost Keogh a few mins into the match and last years star defender Pearce stepped into his shoes. I think he had his boots on the wrong feet. Again Reading punished us. Yes we were a bit lacking in the defence area but Reading are in a false position and they can score. I think its a massive oversight on the bookies to have them as the long outsiders. Yes, Wolves are riding high, but again, I think Wolves’s form is going to start to wobble. I think Reading who will be buoyed by the 4-2 hammering they gave the Rams last week ( and at Derby ), Reading will come in to this match fearing nobody.
Derby to beat Fulham at Craven Cottage at 5/2. Joe Ledley will probably be back in the side, Thorne inching closer to fitness and Keogh is probably back in the starting 11. Before the last match, we had won the previous 4 and drawn 3 prior to that. We’re still unbeaten in our last 4 aways and the side should be about back to full strength. Last match was a much needed kick up the arse for the Rams.
Derby’s manager Rowett has never lost a match to Fulham over 90 minutes, 3 wins, 3 draws, but one of those draws was a league cup match that went to penalties of which his team lost.
Derby always seem to up their game when it comes to tough ( on paper ) matches. Fulham had Martin on loan last year but they do not quite seem to be as strong as they were 12 months ago. I know Chris Martin will be itching to grab a start, to show Fulham what he can do at a club he’s happy at, but he’s not getting regular football. BUT. This is a game where we need him up there scrapping for those 50/50 balls because this match is going to be a tough one. We’ve not won at Craven cottage since the late 60’s under Brian Clough and with the last result from the Reading match, the team will want to get the ship back on course. Derby have broken many ” golden ducks ” this past few seasons and we’re often putting up a fight either right from the Off, or we end up chasing the game – as we did against Leeds.
Derby have scored after 70 minutes in their last 5 matches back to back. So our goal threat can be there for a full 90 mins.
The Derby match is a late kickoff 17:30hrs on Tv, I have beers at the ready and as soon as I am able, I shall post team news. It will be likely available at 16:45hrs.

Just a step too far today for a Rams win. We grew into the game after Fulham opened the scoring. I dropped a £20 at ht for a price boost of 11/1 for the Rams win. Just lacking in that late goal which we’ve grown so accustomed to. From a fans perspective, we can’t really grumble with an away point, its another match away from home unbeaten, and Rowett adds another Fulham V Rowett where he’s not on the losing side.
I’m looking at the Madrid Derby. Maybe Real Madrid can sneak a win, Ronaldo will probably score, there will probably be a card fest….. any pointers and i’d appreciate it. I’m with betfair, so corners/cards/result trebles are not accepted on that site but they do have selective doubles/trebles with nice price boosts.
It’s a 0-0 bore fest for me or a less risky under 1.5, I backed under 2.5 before it started.

dc, sure was hopeless so it was too many players never turned up some never even broke sweat………. Hamilton looked fitter, hungrier and wanted it more, was the young boys mistake for the 1st but you’re going to get that at times with young players though but he does look like one for the future, big disappointment is the cycle we’ve been in for 6 or 7 years now continues with very little to look forward to in the near future with the players we have bar 1 or 2, first time Hamilton have beat us at ibrox in the league since 1927 pretty much says it all about where we are atm……………..
