ALL the talk on the site on Wednesday was about goals in France.

Greg Browning landed two beauties at 10-1 and 6-1 with over 0.5 first-half goals and over 1.5 match goals in the six early kick-offs.

His bets were followed and well played to whoever backed a goal in each of all the games at 80-1 – including PSG's late 8-0 drubbing of Dijon.

Greg's success followed similar bets on Ligue 2 on Tuesday and here's the good news – there's a full Ligue 2 card on Friday so tune in for more goals tips.

Hullshaker also had a good night and there were plenty of other winners with the advice to avoid the FA Cup replays a good one.

My Top Treble was beaten by Atletico Madrid's decision to suffer a late collapse against Sevilla and I was a couple of goals short on the treble.

Not much to look at tonight barring Leganes v Real Madrid in the Spanish Cup and a raft of friendlies so will probably be a no-bet day

That will give me more time to prepare for the weekend and I'll post a Saturday Super Single shortlist later.

I must admit I’m somewhat distracted lately with the extreme heat here in Melbourne, and of course the Australian Open. Will be 42 degrees here tomorrow, but the other states are cooler, so all A-League games are expected to be played.

Tonight we have Brisbane Roar v Perth Glory.

It really is a game of two really poor sides in horrid form. One stat that does hold up though is that both defences have been utterly woeful. Anyone could honestly win this… Glory beat Roar in their last game at Suncorp only a month ago, but Roar have won every other league game between the two at Suncorp. Glory also have a huge list of absentees in their squad, whilst Roar see the return of McKay and Papadopoulos.

Honestly I can’t pick these two apart. I just reckon goals… and whilst Glory have several regularl goalscorers, Roar tend to rely more on their big man Massimo.

    Over 3 goals @ 1.97
    Maccarone – atgs @ 1.80

Well there was a seven goal thriller a couple of weeks ago between Tottenham and Southampton and i fully expect the same kind of game at St Marys, ened to end plenty of chances the difference is Kane takes his and i will probably be on a Kane Hatrick.

@old-al – spot on mate, has landed three times and been one short a couple of times ( I’m counting it as 4 though as cashed out at 9/1 instead of full payout of 11/1 on Tueaday)

Like you say – will show well in profit by the end of the season. I expect it to land at a couple of times more over the remaining 15+ weeks ( albeit prices will be shorter)

They are a smart people’s the bookies – nothing ever lasts long in terms of prices

Last season by goal n the first 10 minutes markets were priced around 4/1 – 9/2

    Santos U20 vs Internacional U20 – over 14 corners 9/1 Bet365

I think there could potentially be a lot of corners in Santos U20 vs Internacional U20. From the earlier stages of the cup Santos U20 have been losing corner contests whilst getting a fair few of their own, infact they’ve lost corner match contests in five from the six they’ve played with four games seeing 11 or more corners. When they played Figueirense U20 it finished on 16 corners (11-5 to Figueirense U20). I believe Internacional U20 entered the cup at the last sixteen stage but in their only game so against Desportiva Paraense U20 far they racked up plenty of corners and it finished on 12 (11-1). Considering whats happened in previous rounds I think the final corner count could end up somewhere between 12 and 14 but I’ll also be taking a play on 15 or more.

    Good luck all

Looking further ahead in to 2018 is there any odds for the balon d’or?

      Messi 13/8

Psg 2nd favs for champs league behind city and Brazil favs for the world cup..

      Why won’t he win anything?

Messi will win la liga, Neymar will win ligue 1, both players will have impressive stats so the champs league and world cup are going to be key.

In my opinion psg and Brazil are stronger than Barca and Argentina

    • Avatar of mark edley
      maccathered 7 years ago

Its all about Opinion but i wouldn’t class Psg stronger than Barcelona nor stronger than Real Madrid, also Psg are not stronger than any of the premier league sides left in the competition,Psg play in a league that is a lot inferior to that of the premier League and the Spanish league,if Neymar wants to in the Ballon d’or he ain’t doing it with Psg all this talk of him leaving Barcelona because he wants to win it is nonsense.

    • Avatar of mark edley

Madrid need a big signing for sure,Neymar does it for the money and thats why he went to Psg because Barca couldn’t offer what Psg were offering. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him at Madrid as probably its his only route as Barca don’t do business with Madrid just like Liverpool don’t do business with Man Utd.

    • Avatar of Mr Fixit

@arron – Salah has no loyalty to Liverpool, as an Egyptian why should he, he’s had a great season that’s earnt him the interest from Madrid. It’s the way Football is now, like Coutinho if he was to move on who could blame him.
I do however think Madrid will be looking a little bigger than Salah this summer, with Barca and PSG both splashing the cash I think they will need to make a statement this summer

  35. Avatar of mark edley
    maccathered 7 years ago

@aarron Salah won’t go anywhere in the summer he’s had a good season thus far and if he was to carry this form all the way through next season then it would be hard for Madrid or Barcelona not to cast an interest,Liverpool would not have Sold Coutihno but it was his dream to play for Barcelona they couldn’t do anymore to convince him to stay..Lets get one thing straight though most of these south american footballers that grace the premier league do so with the intent of leaving for Spain, its not just about the money the climate also is a big factor, look at Ronaldo when he left Manchester, where would you rather work a rain sodden Manchester or a sun soaked Madrid with better pay etc.

      Exactly MrF!!

Why on earth would Salah stay at Liverpool if Real Madrid came calling…….

Money is a major factor but i also genuienly believe its simply a case of Real and Barca being the 2 biggest clubs in world football, they are a step above the english clubs

    • Avatar of mark edley
      maccathered 7 years ago

Because he’s under contract and there is no way Liverpool would sell him in the summer,i doubt that Real Madrid would even be stupid enough to enquire.Whilst its quite a quick question only for joe90,Who is the only English team to win at the Nou camp.I ill give you a clue.I was there that night, thats your only clue no googling either.

Your missing my point – why would Salah want to stay at Liverpool if Real Madrid came calling???
Contracts mean sweet FA in football these days

As for Liverpool (WE) are a selling club and we cash in when players dont want to stay

      Masherano – Alonso – Torres – Suarez – Coutinho

As for your question – i dont understand what connection your placing on telling everyone that you went to a game in Barcelona – congratualtions

No Mascherano and Alonso etc were sold to stop Liverpool going into administration after the club Mounted massive debts incurred by George hicks a Tom Gillete,Liverpool had no choice but to sell to help pay the debts, luckily the club was bought by fsg who frankly pulled us out the sheet.

Thats my whole point regarding Salah – if a player wants to go why keep them??

If Real come knocking in the summer then it wouldnt surpise me to see Salah go

Only Salah and Liverpool can decide when the bid comes in. Everything is just guesswork.

Just look on your bet history and it will tell you how/when you won it – if it was a free bet it would be flagged at the top as such.

Use it – you probably forgot about it after a night on the home brew cider.
Bottom line is £30 is nothing – if it was £30k maybe you’d have to be careful.

Hey guys, no 18th thread up today and hopefully the 19th thread will be up before I summarise Derby’s last match and pre-match thoughts. I’ve uncovered some juicy stuff in this mouth watering tie and i’ll do the usual by trying to back up my reasoning on things to pay attention to. At the end of the day, we all want to make a few quid, and if I do my homework properly, I might be able to steer you to a handful of bets which need careful attention paying to.
Apologies in advance if anyone takes offence to my somewhat detailed analysis but punters need the background info/reasoning to get to grips to why I will be picking what i’ll be picking – rather than flying blind and just posting up picks.

I can’t promise a full house of tips on the game like the last time, but i’ll do my best. If the 19th January tips thread is up and running, I can get to work on that sometime late morning/dinnertime.
