IT'S a big Sunday north and south of the border with the Carabao Cup Final, Man United v Chelsea and Aberdeen v Celtic.
I posted tips and thoughts on all three games yesterday and so check out the Scottish and English previews.
We also have Spurs at Crystal Palace and a big game in the Championship featuring Cardiff v Bristol City.
Elsewhere there are plenty of big games across the Continent and I've added my tips now.
The goals treble starts with btts Willem v Roda which has gone over 2.5 in three of four meetings and both sides generally concede. Add the standout game on the coupon for overs which is Valencia v Sociedad so hopefully it won't be a letdown.
It was 3-2 away for Valencia and three of the past five meetings at home have gone that way. Real's last seven have gone over 2.5 with them scoring 14 in four.
Complete the treble with tonight's big game in France – PSG v Marseille. It doesn't tend to produce a lot of goals but this PSG is different to those of the past and only one of their last eight have gone under 2.5. Tough test for Marseille but they are capable of netting.
I have a moneyback fivefold that features PSG and four other favourites. The best price is Lazio at Sassuolo and I agree with Jordan they should be too strong for strugglers.
Also taking Leipzig at home to Cologne, Juventus at home to Atalanta and Lyon at home to St Etienne. Hopefully at least four win for the stake back as a free bet.
I've tipped Man City to beat Arsenal and for the Top Treble play safer and back them to lift the trophy. I don't like unders bet but the last five Man Utd v Chelsea matches at Old Trafford have gone that way.
Complete with Aberdeen to score at home to Celtic at around 8-13. The Dons are a massive price of just under 5-1 to win and that's because they've lost nine in a row to the Hoops.
Brendan Rodgers' champ look in poor shape but always lift themselves against the Dons so I can't write them off. Aberdeen should at least score and not lose – and if they won it wouldn't surprise anyone up here.
I wasn't going to do a Super Single but the profit's good so let's risk 2pts on Aberdeen draw no bet at 17-5 with Marathonbet. Also agree with Greg that both should score.
On Saturday my Super Single was beaten in the last minute by Arbroath's equaliser at Raith but on Friday I won thanks to Livingston's late goal so it's swings and roundabouts.
I was also unlucky with the Top Treble which was a St Mirren goal short and they missed a penalty. None of my other bets were close so I have to mark it down as a poor day.
Most dramatic winner came from Desmond whose 2+ double came up thanks to two injury-time Rotherham goals – the second a 103rd-minute clincher against Doncaster. His both to score double also won and Scott Allot's Euro btts treble landed at 4-1 – I think that's five out of six Saturdays for him.
Greg's goals tip was spot on and Jordan's Tranmere bet landed as they fought back from 2-1 down to win 3-2.

UFC Fight Night:
Late late night double on the UFC on BT Sport for those still awake…
Tecia Torres to beat Jessica Andrade
Jeremy Stephens to beat JoshEmmett via KO/TKO/Submission
Around 6/1 on the double – pretty confident on Jeremy Stephens winning via KO but Tecia Torres fight is razor close but she has won 10 from her past 11 fights and is fighting a girl who lost a few years ago against Raquel Pennington who is actually Tecia’s girlfriend so she will know everything there is about Andrade and I believe her boxing and lightning speed will get her the win via majority decision.
Cheers Mr F.
Never fond of backing Serie A games, even more so when the favourite is away from home, but its a difficult card with not much standing out in my honest opinion.
A team in a bit of bother are Sassuolo. They’ve lost three of their last four, with a 7-0 thumping in Turin from Juventus. Lazio are very hit and miss but on their day they can be lethal in front of goal, just as they were in the reverse tie winning 6-1. They’ve put 2+ past Sassuolo in seven of nine h2hs. With Sassuolo only scoring 15 goals in 25 games this season, they could be destined for the drop.
Having lost three of their last four, they needed a win against Verona last week. They did so in a 2-0 victory with 33 attempts at goal. They did play on Thursday in a big win, turning around the 1st leg defeat to win 5-1 at home, so should have some confidence and will look to make it three competitive wins in a row.

Morning gents – Was a good Saturday with Ayr and Raith doing the business for the NAP and my English double winning at 9/4
Just one bet from me today and it comes from the SPL
Aberdeen v Celtic KO 1.30pm
In Celtic terms, this is a crisis they’ve failed to score in their last two league games which would have been unthinkable not so long ago but having lost 1-0 to a resurgent Kilmarnock which was then followed up by 0-0 at home to the Perth St Johnstone they’ve given the chasing pack the opportunity to close the gap with Rangers now just 6 points off them. They travelled back from
a spineless defeat in Russia so be interesting to see how they respond today. Aberdeen boss Derek McInness will also be looking for a reaction after a poor showing last week at Hibs. This should be a cracking game with plenty of attacking options on the pitch, can see both sides scoring here. 17 of the last 20 meetings between the sides have seen over 2.5 goals and with 7 of the last 10 at Pittodrie also going the same way. Aberdeen are sadly big game bottle merchants so would expect Celtic to provide us with most goals
Back over 2.5 match goals 19/20 (Matathonbet) (NAP)
not a Celtic supporter by any means, but that squad will be scratching at the doors to get their toe to the line today…..tiredness gets mentioned very loosely at times, tiredness can hit us all at any point in our respective sports….think Celtic will win….but not tempted by the 8/13 on offer…..
If Scotland can beat England at rugger the Aberdeen can beat Celtic.
As Greg says they have a reputation as bottlers and this season they haven’t laid a finger on Celtic or Rangers.
But if they’re brave this must be their best chance of beating Celtic.

17:30 Valencia vs Real Sociedad – Prediction 3.1
Current Form
* Sociedad have seen BTTS in 11 of their last 15 away league matches including 5 of the last 7
* 9 of those 11 matches went over 2.5 goals
* Sociedad have scored at least 1 goal in 12 of their last 15 away league matches
* Sociedad have scored 2 goals or more in 8 of their last 15 away league matches
* Sociedad lost 5.2 and 4.2 in their last 2 away league matches at Villareal and Real Madrid
* Valencia have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 6 home league matches
* 4 of those 5 also went over 2.5 goals
* Valencia have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored in 8 of their last 10 La Liga matches
Past Meetings
* Each of the last 3 meetings has finished 3.2
* Sociedad won 2 of those matches, Valencia the other
* Sociedad have actually won 4 of the last 5 meetings
Best Bets
BTTS @ 8/15 – 3.5 stars
BTTS and over 2.5 goals @4/5 – 3 stars
20:00 Paris Saint Germain vs Marseille – Prediction 2.1
Current Form
* PSG have seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored in 4 of their last 7 home league matches including 3 of the last 5
* PSG have conceded 2 goals or more in 5 of their last 9 matches (Ligue 1 and CL)
* PSG only kept 3 clean sheets in their last 9 matches
* PSG have not lost any of their last 54 home matches (all comps)
* PSG are unbeaten in 36 home league matches, winning 30 and drawing only 6
* PSG scored 4 goals or more in 7 of their last 10 home matches! (all comps)
* PSG have scored 3 goals or more in 14 of their last 16 home matches! (all comps) including each of the last 6
* Marseille have scored at least 1 goal in 14 of their last 15 away league matches
* Marseille have scored 21 goals in their last 8 league matches
* Marseille have lost only 3 of their last 37 league matches and only 1 of their last 21
Past Meetings
* 6 of the last 7 meetings saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored
* 5 of those 6 BTTS matches were held in Marseille however
* Marseille have failed to beat PSG in any of their last 15 meetings since 2011
* PSG won 12 of those 15 matches
* PSG have won 8 of their last 9 home matches against Marseille
* PSG scored exactly 2 goals in all 8 wins
* Marseille have failed to score in 6 of their last 7 trips to Paris
Final Verdict
Marseille holds a pretty desperate record against PSG having failed to beat the reigning champions in 15 matches since 2011 and they will be up against it again on Sunday evening with the Parisians in especially sensational form on their own patch this season.
The home side has now scored a remarkable 68 goals in their last 14 home matches including 21 in their last 4 and will be supremely confident against a Marseille side that they have beaten in 8 of their last 9 meetings at the Parc des Princes.
Still, Marseille have performed well in recent months, losing only 1 of their last 21 matches in Ligue 1 and I expect them to score with PSG looking a bit leaky defensively of late and conceding 2 or more in 5 of their last 9 matches. BTTS is short but fair @4/6.
With PSG scoring so many goals at home though, you would be surprised if they failed to score at least 2 here and while many will expect more, especially given their recent form, those past meeting stats make interesting reading with PSG scoring EXACTLY 2 goals in their last 8 home wins over Marseille and while this is certainly the best PSG side Marseille may ever have faced, it is also one of the better Marseiile sides in recent years and I expect this to be a close and competitive fixture with goals at both ends and the visitors putting up a decent showing.
BTTS and over 2.5 goals therefore seems to be pretty likely with PSG seeing that outcome in 4 of their last 7 at home and considering Marseille’s recent goal-scoring form, I am confident in backing that selection at relatively short 4/5 odds.
Best Bets – BTTS and over 2.5 goals @4/5 – 2.5 stars
These are my best selections for today, fully justified elsewhere.
Arsenal vs City – BTTS @8/15 – 4 stars
Schalke vs Leverkusen – BTTS @8/13 – 3 stars
PSG vs Marseile – BTTS and over 2.5 goals @4/5 – 2.5 stars
Valencia vs Sociedad – BTTS @ 8/15 – 3.5 stars
dons vs celtic – btts @19/20 – 2.5 stars
Arsenal vs City – BTTS and over 2.5 goals @4/5 – 3 stars
Valencia vs Sociedad – BTTS and over 2.5 goals @4/5 – 3 stars
Schalke vs Leverkusen – BTTS and over 2.5 goals @1/1 – 2.5 stars
RBL vs Koln – BTTS @4/5 – 2.5 stars
As for the final…should be a belter.
17:30 Man City vs Arsenal – Prediction 4.2
Current Form
* Arsenal have won only 4 of their last 12 matches in all competitions, losing 5 and drawing 3
* Man City have won 6 of their last 8 matches but suffered a shock 1.0 loss at Wigan in their most recent fixture in the FA Cup
* Arsenal have seen BTTS in 11 of their last 13 matches in all competitions
* 10 of those 11 matches also saw over 2.5 goals scored
* Man City have seen BTTS in 8 of their last 12 matches in all competitions
* 7 of those 8 matches also saw over 2.5 goals scored
* Arsenal have conceded 15 goals in their last 10 matches, keeping only 2 clean sheets in the process
Past Meetings
* 8 of the last 9 meetings saw BTTTS
* 7 of those 8 matches also saw over 2.5 goals scored
* 35 goals have been scored in the last 10 meetings between these two sides
* Arsenal have won 5 (1 AET), drawn 3 and lost only 2 of their last 10 meetings against Man City
* Arsenal have scored at least 1 goal in their last 13 matches against Man City
League Cup Final History
* 6 of the last 8 finals have seen BTTS
* Man City have won 2 of the last 4 League Cups
* Arsenal have not won the League Cup since 1993
* An average of 3.4 goals have been scored in the final since 2005
Final Verdict
The first trophy of the season is up for grabs this Sunday tea-time and we should be in for a thrilling occasion as Man City and Arsenal go head to head in front of 90000 supporters at Wembley Stadium in the final of a competition that has produced plenty of drama in recent years.
City come into this final as pretty clear favourites @8/13 odds on but Arsenal do have a really good record against the Citizens in the past few seasons and for that reason, I expect a really competitive match with plenty of goals at both ends and a lot of attacking football from two teams that love to go forward in numbers.
In fact, Arsenal have only lost 2 of their last 10 matches against Man City and while they are huge underdogs here, priced @9/2 to win in normal time, the Gunners can take heart from that record and I fully expect Arsene Wenger’s side to deliver a competitive performance against the runaway Premier League leaders.
For Wenger, you would have to say that this could easily be his last final as an Arsenal manager and you certainly wouldn’t begrudge the English game’s longest-serving gaffer a final piece of silverware in what really should be his last year at the helm.
Having never won this competition, perhaps a victory here would give the great Frenchman every reason to think about calling time on what has been a wonderful career as Gunners boss. Still, with another year on his contract, a Wenger departure would be considered a surprise, even if this Arsenal side continues to slide further and further from the glory achieved in the early part of the century.
Arsenal will certainly require their big game players to produce when it matters on Sunday and you would expect the likes of Ozil, Aubameyang and Wilshere to have a big influence on the outcome of this football match. If those players and the other 8 starters can give Arsenal a 9 out of 10 performance, then they could very well claim the scalp of City, having managed 5 wins over the Manchester side in their last 10 meetings but it is a lot to ask for a team that is not in great form, losing 5 of their last 12 matches in all competitions.
In contrast, their opponents here have had a truly outstanding season so far having won 35 of their last 40 matches (in all competitions, including AET) while Pep Guardiola will certainly be confident of another trophy having won six of the seven major finals he has been involved in as a manager in his career thus far and having won them by an aggregate score of 14-3, this is a man that knows how to win when it comes to the big occasion or indeed, most occasions.
Ultimately, you have to expect that City will have too much in the tank for an Arsenal side that really has struggled to find their best form this season but there are no guarantees in this type of game, and especially not in a final, so I expect a close and exciting contest with BTTS @8/15 very likely in an event that has all the makings of a potential classic.
With so many talented players likely to start in the attacking positions for both sides, we should see plenty of drama with goals at both ends surely inevitable so a high-scoring, City win, but not necessarily in 90 minutes, is the predicted outcome here with BTTS and over 2.5 goals short @4/5 but that’s understandable given past meetings between these two sides and the likely attacking nature of this contest.
