WE'VE gone from the sublime to the ridiculous with too many games on Tuesday and not enough on Wednesday.
My only bet on Tuesday was a losing treble as I ignored even trying to call the Caraboa Cup and Irn-Bru Cup games. Well done to anyone who successfully did so.
Greg was the star of the show with four winners including a 55-1 goals winner on the Vanarama Conference.
I tipped Celtic to be knocked out of the Champions League by AEK Athens but didn't take great delight in the result as it's a poor one for Scottish football.
On Wednesday the big game is the UEFA Super Cup between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid and there is a match preview on the site. Interesting to see Real without Ronaldo but there should be goals.
There are four games in Scotland and some dotted across the Continent so my focus is likely to be on Thursday's Europa League ties.

Put up my Wednesday selections on Monday evening and nothing has swayed my view of the chance of goals up at Darlo!
Just going to add a brief reasoning and background for another game that could be worth a look to double up with…
STJARNAN VS. FH (2015 KO):
Quick post but this one has obvious history featuring, as it does, two of Icelandic footballs biggest hitters.
Neither team have been quite the force they have been this last 2 seasons but it’s probably just a matter of time with Stjarnan looking the more likely side to reclaim dominance though they to have hit a wobble or two of late!

I agree with Mr fixit that whilst I’m a proud Englishman keen to beat the Scots in all sports, I want a strong Scottish showing in the champions league. I NEVER said that Celtic DON’T have more to spend. I’m saying that for £9m Rodgers could’ve made better use of it, and that for the league they compete in, and with ‘realistic’ expectations, should be enough to improve their squad.
You’ve sort of made my argument for me, when talking of the fees spent on other players, and the returns.
Celtic got all these players at a ‘reasonable’ price, and got a great return.
My question is, did Édouard do enough during his loan spell to justify a £9m, and, even if he scores 30 goals a season, are there clubs out there who would pay more than what Celtic paid for him?

Answer too your question… If Edouard scores 30 goals a season then yes Celtic will receive a higher fee than they paid PSG.
Edouard was 19 when he arrived having started only 4 first team games at Toulouse on loan. For the first 6 months it was a settling in period too New surroundings, team mates, tactics, first team football exposure. He’s got 15 goals in 19 starts plus various substitute appearances. Yes I think he justified such a big outlay and will only get better. He’s strong, powerful, quick and can finish. He will go onto bigger and better things in a better league but for now I’ll enjoy his talents ? we should be okay with this one
