I POST both to score trebles on Scottish and English football every Saturday so here goes with the first attempts of the new season.

I've also listed Scott Allot's European both to score treble and Desmond's both to score double. These bets are on separate posts.

My Scottish treble starts with two interesting games in the Championship. Promoted Livingston should go well and performed decently in the Betfred Cup while Dunfermline also looked in good shape after finishing the season in fine form. Both have netted seven in three games and can contribute to the scoreline here.

I've tipped Falkirk ew for the title and they start with a tester at St Mirren. The Buddies were one of the best second-half of the season sides as they escaped the drop but their Betfred Cup games didn't go to plan. Both have netted in four of their last five meetings and should do so again.

Complete the treble with Albion Rovers v Ayr – two sides who looked good in the Betfred Cup. Ayr won four out of four and beat Premiership Killie while Rovers beat Hamilton on penalties after a 4-4 draw. Rovers hit 11 in their cup clashes and Ayr 15 so goals look to be on the menu.

My English treble has to start with Fulham v Norwich. Fulham's matches last season produced 142 goals (85-57 and that was bettered only by the Canaries with 154 (85-69). Last season it was 2-2 at Craven Cottage. This time – it will probably be 0-0!

Next take Bury v Walsall. HullShaker's men have lost James Vaughan to Sunderland but Jermain Beckford has been brought in and looked good in pre-season by all accounts. My concern is Walsall may not keep to their side of the bargain but both meetings last term finished 3-3 so let's go with the stats.

Complete the treble in League Two with Cambridge v Exeter. Paul Tidsdale's Exeter lost the play-off final but their long-serving boss will be hoping to go one better. Reuben Reid is crucial to his hopes and has netted 55 in three seasons so will hope to make a flying start.

Cambridge also have promotion hopes and have signed Jabo Ibehre from Carlisle and Ade Azeez from Partick Thistle as they hunt the way to goal. Last season Cambridge won this fixture 2-1 and I hope to see goals again.
