Best Tennis Tips and Predictions Today
Based on the latest tennis odds, here are the bets we're recommend you jump on today:
Sabalenka to Defeat Pegula 2-0 @ 1/1
The action kicks off in Cincinnati today with a brilliant clash between two titans of the WTA Tour, Sabalenka and Pegula.
Sabalenka just demolished the best player in the world for the loss of only six games. Pegula is one match away from becoming the first woman in 50 years to win Canada and Cincinnati back-to-back. Talk about a match up!
We’re taking Sabalenka in this one, and in straight sets. Why? The Belarusian finally looks to have rounded her way back into top form after a rotator cuff injury that kept her out of Wimbledon. She looked tentative in Washington and Toronto too.
Now, however, she’s swinging freely, having not dropped a set all tournament. In four of the last five matches she’s played against Pegula, Sabalenka has won in straight sets. We expect that will be the result again on Monday.
Sinner to Beat Tiafoe 2-1 @ 5/2
This match is far tougher to call than Sabalenka vs Pegula. On the one hand, you have Sinner, an indomitable force in 2024 who has only lost five times this year and sits No. 1 in the rankings. He could very easily roll past world No. 20 – who has 18 losses to his name this season – for the loss of just a few games.
On the other hand, Tiafoe is a big match player. He has consistently rallied the crowd behind him and swung the momentum in his favour this week, and has spoken positively about his current headspace.
Will a free-hitting Tiafoe find some pay against Sinner, or is this match going to be over in an hour? Our bet is on the former. Tiafoe should, at some stage in the final, have a surge of momentum. While we don’t believe he’s quite got the stones to finish off the match, we do expect he’ll at least bag a set.
